It truly is a difficult choice for me.

I'm happy for the Obama supporters.
He is one helluva candidate.
I'll play nice for now on.

I can finally say with honesty that I
will be happy if either candidate wins.

2. I liked all the candidates that were running.
They were all good. I'll admit HRC was my least favorite, but I'll take her if that's what I'm given.

However, I do enjoy needling some of her supporters. Well, just one of them really. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll post here.

51. I like winners...
Nice candidates that don't win suck eggs.
Obama sucks eggs because he's damaged goods.
Biden had half a shot, Edwards too, Clinton as well... the rest were wall paper.
Obama comes with big baggage that wasn't revealed until it was too late, and the debate showed how weak he really is.
Pitiful.

Super Delegates for Hillary.
It's our only hope because Obama's too flawed to appeal to the swing voters we desperately need.

57. Sadly, it is Hillary who has the baggage. She emphasized this in the debate.
Seemed kind of foolish to me at the time, but her honesty was refreshing.

The thing about baggage is this: even if people have already picked through her
baggage over and over, as she said, she's still carrying it around with her. She
won't be able to leave it behind. Bill is also part of that baggage, and too many
people seriously don't want to see him back in the WH.

62. Yes she has baggage but...
1. It is old stuff. New stuff like the Balkans gaff is minor compared to Obama.
2. Hers doesn't include a 20-year mentor screaming "God Damn America" after 911.
3. She isn't associated with a terrorist.
4. She tells you what she thinks. He really doesn't.
5. You don't have tape of her saying those people are bitter and cling to their guns and religion. The swing voters we need to win.

Yes, there is baggage, and then there is Obama's lead laden baggage.

66. It's an election
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 02:17 PM by Johnny Battleground
Keep an open mind.

It's where people try to sway others.
That's the nature of winning.
Convincing people. Explaining a vision.
Selling.
Obama sold us Hope, Change, Unite.
It was good for a while and I was leaning towards him.
But after Wright, Ayers, his wife, Rezko... his message rings a wee bit hollow.
Winning means convincing, remember that?
Well... He won't win the swing voters with the baggage above.

So, I'm supporting Hillary.
Because I think she can win, and be "the decider."

By clicking ignore, you aren't open to "change".
I did. Maybe you can too when you see that Hillary's baggage was handled during their 1st go.
What new stuff do they have?
Nada.

Super Delegates: Vote Hillary

My name is not Hillary Clinton but I'd approve the above for an ad. :)

Barack shamed me tonight in his speech.

He reminded me that neither he nor we, his supporters, are here for politics. We are here for much more important reasons and to play games is to trivialize the importance of all of this.

I will try to be as good and serious and ethical as he has been.

64. Well he told his share of lies too. Why is it you can forgive him but
you can't forgive Hillary? Remember he lied about knowing Rezsko? Whether he did anything illegal or not...he absolutely denied knowing him. Big lie!
He lied about knowing what Write was saying and when he knew how he thought. Those lies are more important than things like Tuzla. Prove she supported NAFTA anymore than Obama. Oh, he also lied about what he told the Canadians re NAFTA and he lied about what he told us his views were. I could go on but that should suffice. Now why can't you forgive Hillary...but you can forgive the one who tells more important lies?

Anything that ruffles BHO's feathers is considered "a negative attack". He's thin skinned. His supporters have even thinner skin. Obama has been on a meteoric rise these last few, slight years ergo not very used to challenges unless you consider Alan Keyes a challenge :eyes: Nor is he able to digest them. So he comes off as brittle, which he disguises behind jukes, jibes, and the very silliness he decries in others = hypocrisy!

49. Thank you for listening.
I wish people would keep in mind just how important the ability to make a moving speech is for a president. Presidents really don't have much legislative power, only the ability to veto and utilize the bully pulpit (assuming a non-corrupt president who doesn't misuse signing statements). Hillary and Obama can bicker all they want about the details of their health care plans, their differences are far smaller than the difference between either one and what will get to their desk for signing. A president needs to be able to lead and inspire, and Obama does those things better than any democrat I've seen in my 38 years.

I'll concede that Hillary is a better policy wonk than Obama, but I don't see how that helps a president. Yes, it's great in the Senate, but the president doesn't really have that much control over the details of legislation.

52. I have never needed to 'pick' a candidate ....
I like the two I have, thanks ...

NEITHER are perfect ... but they are AT LEAST far better than the alternative from the other party ...

Obama or Hillary ? .... Hillary or Obama ? ... We suffer an embarrassment of riches, practically speaking ...

ALL this energy should have been expended on attacking the GOP record, and on the utter failure of conservatism to elevate a nation, .. again ...

This battle is magnified by the condensation and sublimation of individual personal frustration, I believe .. people HATE what has happened, and are now lashing out in disgust ....

There is alot riding on this one .... Winning the office of President is more important than splitting into camps and engaging in internecine war ...

BOTH Candidates aren't perfect, but they're FAR better than Johnnie boy ....

A lot of us have sympathies for both candidates. Whoever is the eventual nominee, there will always be some regret at the tone of the campaign and the realization that one of the two excellent and historic candidates will have to bow out.
