I heard the most idiotic thing today.
Let me preface this by stating I am a Democrat that will support the candidate that gets our party's nomination. I like many things about both candidates (as well as dislike a few things about both.) This post is not intended as a bashing of any candidate.

Bill Clinton came to my small (mostly republican)town in NC today and I went to see him. The only other President I have ever seen in person was Reagan, in the 80s, so I really wanted to see a President that I actually agreed with politically. (I did not vote for Reagan, I did not like Reagan, but I was interested in seeing him just to see him.)

Now back to the topic of my post. After Bill's speech people were mulling around waiting for his motorcade to pass by and I happened to hear this young girl - probably in her mid twenties - talking about getting to shake Bill's hand and how excited she was about the whole thing. Her companion asked her if she was going to vote for Hillary and she said she was still not sure but she did know she was not going to vote for Obama. She was going to vote for Hillary or McClain.

MC CLAIN! With an L!! I wanted to walk over and slap her face. She will not vote for Obama but she will vote for someone whose name she does not even know!

The idiotcy just overwhelms me.

2. I take it the dopey woman was white
if the racism is as casual in NC as it was in Mississippi when I lived there, voting for a black guy doesn't even enter the equation.

People like that shouldn't vote at all. They just clog up the lines and get thirsty from their mouths being open.

How does W. win even ONE election, never mind 2?
How does McInsane have over 30% in all polls to date?

And please tell me under what definitions I called "most Americans" idiots.

I heard someone say, during the Texas primary, that she was going to vote for Huckabee (whom she called "Hucklebee") but she couldn't because he wasn't a Democrat, so she voted for Obama. Oh well, at least she accidentally got it right in the end.....

Edited because I misremembered and misstated.

And, like, help some airplanes land?

And, stop bombs in NY?

And... Ok, I didn't really pay attention to the 4th one.

18. Whoever did the "Baracky" clips...
Should come up with a "Die Hard" spoof, splicing McCain singing "Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran" with Bruce Willis (and McCain's head) shouting "WHOA!" as the fireball rushes after him in the first one, then splice his support by Hagee and Hagee's statements about New Orleans with Willis walking around Harlem with the clapboard in the third one, and McCain's statements about not knowing anything about the economy with any number of Willis' lines about not understanding technology from the fourth one. And some more explosions.

But maybe it's only funny in my head...

23. And perhaps a racist voter.
Oh, there are all sorts of factors potentially at work in her stated position, but it may be that voting for someone white is more important than voting for a man. Or something.
