Whether you are a Obama or Clinton supporter, it doesn't
matter and I don't care. You really think all the political
rhetoric means anything? You really think the SD's up for
re-election are going to sacrifice their "comfy"
living? I don't think so. All I know is that this is now out
of our hands and we only hurt ourselves with all this back and
forth back stabbing between the campaigns while giving McShit
a free ride.

Yes, changing things needs to start somewhere. And I
desperately want change. But I don't have the answer how to
do it. My only recommendation is to flood Howard Dean (or
whoever)with emails that someone has to step in and settle
this. The alternative.......another 4 years of disastrous
Republican RULE. And I do mean DISASTROUS RULE. If the
Democratic Party allows this travesty to continue, we as loyal
Democrats have to accept some responsibility. We are our own
worst enemy if we allow this to continue.

Think about it. There are arguments on both sides for
continuing this primary contest. Both candidates have very
valid reasons for continuing the fight. Someone needs to step
in and settle this mess...we're only hurting ourselves by not
settling this here and now. So what do we all want? I'll
support any Democratic nominee as long as it means we can get
this country back on track.

Flame away. Oh....and I don't wear a flag lapel pin.

1. Someone needs to step in and derail the decision process . . .
Because we're uncomfortable with democracy? Get a little backbone, please.

5. Then have a little faith . . .
In my opinion, either candidate withdrawing at this point would be an absolute disaster. 'Licans would pound us with the spineless meme -- and it might work.

Do I wish things between Clinton and Obama could be (interpreted by the media) as less cutting? Yes. But both of them *must* show the courage of their convictions and continue the contest. The fact of the matter is that "mathematical certainties" are bullshit in this race -- both candidates have roughly 50% of the democratic primary vote and intensely loyal followers.

And they're generating new, enthusiatic followers every day.

Let McCain cackle and rub his hands together. He'll get his. Do you really think that either one of these candidates head to head with McCain can't wipe the floor with him?

8. I don't honestly know the answer to that
But I think it's time the Democratic party portray a united front to insure that we do. I think the risks are just too great not to do so.

I'm also what the candidate that is going to have the best "coat tail" effect......the candidate that insures we bring in more Senators and Representatives. Who that is I don't know with everything being so close.

10. Well, that's our point of disagreement . . .
I don't think this is the time for Democrats to portray a united front when we haven't actually decided who'd best represent our party. If there were no Clinton, Obama would probably have locked this up three months ago; the same is true of Clinton in a no-Obama world. They're both very impressive, presidential-timber, winning candidates.

McCain is doomed (nothwithstanding 'Licans stealing the election via fraud, electronic or otherwise). He's doomed because his proposals are crazy and disjointed, because his mind is not as sharp as it was 8 years ago, because he carries huge baggage -- and not just Bush, because he'll pop off at some point during the campaign (or several points) and demonstrated his frightening "crazy old coot" side for all the voters to see, because he's snarky and nasty and unpleasant to be around, and because the kool kids of the press who are luvving him now will grow tired of him and turn on him like a piece of chum.

Here's my prediction. Clinton will lose -- either on the trail or at the convention, and within moments of her concession do the politician thing of beginning to seal the breaches. She's not dead yet and has a firm eye on the future and will not throw away the tidal wave of interest in all things democratic that this campaign has stirred up.

13. This is damaging Obama. The Repubs are framing him and Hillary is the beneficiary.
You wouldn't happen to be a Clinton supporter would you? I have spoken with non- committals and they say this is all making the Democratic party look bad. We need to have our candidate now and he needs to be challenging the Republicans. This process has played out- more so than in years past. It is time to bring it to and end.

16. I'm supporting a democrat in the general election . . .
I genuinely believe -- and the people I talk to believe -- that either Obama or Clinton would make fine presidents (as would Edward, Biden, etc., etc.). Dems really have a lot of talent this time around.

I also believe that either one can wax McCain not only because they're good, but because he's so bad -- and especially because I don't think he'll wear very well with the electorate.

And I'm far from sure the process has played out. I think this'll come down to multiple votes at the convention. It may be true that a "brokered" convention is impossible these days (SDs aren't as powerful as they once were), but both Clinton and Obama are going to go into the convention with around 50% of the vote and that's going to mean that the process is still "in process."

12. It is now impossible for Obama to lose the lead.
He is the presumptive nominee. Now somebody needs to step in and have a word with Hillary and if she still won't budge, superdelegate bomb Barack after May 6th and put him over the top. She'll get the hint.

14. They hear us screaming, but they aren't paying any attention......
all they need to do is nominate Barack.

Oh, and not ALL of us are party loyalists. Some of us are Independents. I will just stay home instead of voting for Hillary. Yes, I am one of those, but then again, the Democratic Party leaders don't care. That is why I don't belong to them.....
