Poll question: Do you think Obama needs to go negative during the home stretch?
I believe Obama will be our nominee.

I also believe that the last mile or two of this political marathon will be the toughest road Obama has yet to run. The corporate media, Hillary, Bill, the rethug machine, and the usual cadre of racist idiots and bigots will be pulling all their last stops to somehow cause a last minute Obama collapse.

Will the volume of the attack nessesitate that Obama fall into the morass of negativity and counter punch with a vengeance? Or shouls Obama try and stay above it and stay on message keeping it positive?

How would you advise Obama?

1. People are concerned that he doesn't know how to fight.
He needs to show that he can dish it out. So yes, go negative. Not too negative though.

5. He can fight without going negative.
There is no reason he should have to stoop to their level in this race.

Fight - yes.

Fight dirty - no.

7. He just needs to go on the offense.
And stay that way until Hillary is out.

16. Reminds me of the old Kung Fu show
Where Master Po would dispense the same sage wisdom to young Grasshopper.

Easier said then done, but I do agree it would be the best way for Obama to go.

Fight - yes.
Fight dirty - no.

2. How negative is the more pertinent question, IMO.
He needs to hit, but not in a below the belt way.

3. Obama and his campaign have been negative all the while
Now, it's a matter of magnitude or how covert they attempt to play it.

6. He could surgically strike Hillary-SHE called herself Senator Punjab & now says she's all about jobs
Obama could mention Hillary's OWN WORDS and link her to outsourcing to India which is true. It's her record and Bill's record (NAFTA).

10. The enemy screams the loudest just before it dies
Don't listen to the all the noise coming from the opposition . It is only the sound of their own defeat . STAY POSITIVE

13. A counter message needs to be put out
The Clintons' attacks are being repeated endlessly by the MSM. Obama needs to put out a (negative) message that will be repeated just as often.

11. No he has alredy won this thing.
Hillary has lost support among the real progressives due to her hateful campaign. She is doing better now by courting the primary crashers. Republican love the way she rides the nuke and her talk of annihilating many innocent children. The are giving her a hand up now not the democrats.

He should go negative in the general though.

12. I had to vote "other" because it was zero.
But, I'd advise Obama to go even more positive. If someone throws "Wright" at him, embrace Wright and mention the good things he's said (yes there are some)

I'm guessing the Clintons will go even more negative, louder and more frequent. They will not go quietly.

14. No need
There's no need for Obama to go negative, because his paid apparatchiks on the blogs have gone far more negative than any candidate or campaign dare go. Last time I looked, Hillary was (according to Obama supporters on the net) responsible for Iraq, Nafta, Welfare Reform, Hiroshima and the Holocaust. Busy woman.
