Edwards just won it for the Dems. It's his children and family!
For the first time I've seen Edwards' entire family on network TV. His little boy is so cute! It looks some precious when Edwards is carrying his little boy and girl.

In my opinion this is going to graphically image America that the Democratic Party is the future and the hope for us and our children. This image is more powerful than any negative Whore lies Bush or the GOP Media Whores could ever come up with.

It's impossible for the aWol/Cheney Whores or the GOP Media Whores to attack a man who's holding those two beautiful children!

But don't get lazy and go to sleep! We can't let the Whore GOP be close enough so that they can order the Mafia Supreme Court to lead another Coup!

1. I kept thinking "Family Values" as I watched this morning
And then I read where Bush told someone that having kids (or his kids) was a pain in the ass. Lovely!

2. I posted this on an earlier thread shortly after the photo op. . .
just indulged in a little remote viewing. . .

Meanwhile. . .
deep within the bowels of the bunker deep beneath the WH. . .Karl Rove is at his desk pouring over Bush & Cheney's extended family trees, pulling his hair out, he's mumbling, "m-m-m-must
f-f-f-f-find ch-ch-ch-cherubic-c-c-c- toddlers."

6. Didn't Cheney's daughter recently have a baby?
Look for a photo featuring Dick and Lynne holding the baby at uncomfortable arm's length while trying not to snear. Poor kid.

Can't imagine having a more vile set of grandparents.

10. How 'bout Barbara Bush & hubby?
You don't want to sully your beautiful mind contemplating that.

16. They just might be worse.
They once publically referred to Jeb's children as the "little brown ones." What kind of people classify their grandkids according to ethnicity?

3. It was a powerful visual this morning.
I think we can take the 'family values' issue away from the Republicans, and remind the American people what real family values are!

:D

4. I do think they will need to be careful and I'm sure they will be.
People will react negatively if they perceive that children are being inappropriately used, or overused, in a campaign. Voters want candidates to protect their children, especially little ones. So I am sure K&E will be sensitive to this.

5. Reminds me of Jack Kenndy and the kids in the White House
Kerry seems to have a special relationship with little Jack--4yo and Jack looks like a little live wire too. He is wicked cunning. These pictures are precious , I agree with you, this will be the winner for the Dems

Very heartening. It really underscores optimism for the future.

Boy, though. I wish I had John Edward's genes. To look that young at 51. whew...

12. not only they are cute
But they make the greatest possible contrast with Bushes and Cheneys.

And for a big part of the voters family values matter. These images are a sure winner.

I don't want to be cynical but these must have been tested on focus groups. Edwards kids are way too cute to be igonored and you'll see them more and more during the campaign.

13. Kids love attention, too, generally.
And with Kerry being so tall, for a small boy he's like climbing a post, so I doubt he'd complain much about getting a bird's eye view of the world with JK.

They are this cute in person, but it's been a year and geez, they sure have grown, as kids do...

When I saw JE on the campaign trail on CSpan, the kids seemed totally fine hitting the road on the bus.

15. there was an equally poignant moment after yesterday's rally
Edited on Wed Jul-07-04 03:47 PM by stellanoir
Kerry was doing the standard "politician kissing babies hustling votes," routine that they all do. This was presumably a total stranger's baby. Kerry noticed that the child was squinting from the brightness of the sun. He instinctually cupped his enormous hand well over the child's head thusly creating an umbrella over the baby who he'd probably never see again. I know plenty of parents who would be oblivious to that sort of need.

I'd intended to vote for him of course. But in that moment I thought, "yeah the real deal indeed."

17. Ugly
The whores are calling both families ugly. It even happened on SportsTalk today where the Tony Bruno show had a guy on his show making comments that Theresa and Elizabeth (sorry for any misspellings) were ugly.

I popped off an email to the host of the show.

You have to be joking.

These guys are simply scared of powerful women like Theresa Kerry. She is beautiful if you ask me.

20. They Are Calling Them That
Then again, if you take a look over at FR, they can't seem to come up with anything more creative than grade school insults, calling people ugly or fat.

25. I think Teresa and Elizabeth are mucho attractive.
Edited on Thu Jul-08-04 12:22 AM by TexasSissy
Elizabeth has put on a few pounds since her younger days (per the photos I've seen), but hey, as she says, she is the anti-Barbie. But she's pretty, nonetheless. And Teresa is, objectively speaking, a pretty woman.

What else could they say if they don't have substance to attack? Go after the women's appearance. Typical. Remember when Rush Limbaugh called Chelsea Clinton a pig on the air? There is no depth too low for them.

There were some posts like this in a "bipartisan" forum I post on. I then pointed out some features of Laura Bush. No need to go into detail, but I haven't seen any more posts critical of the wives. Well, okay, I'll go into SOME detail.

Laura
What's with those weird looking, slanted eyes? (I'm not dissing asian eyes, which I think are beautiful, in any way. They're not THAT kind of slanted. They're just off at some weird angle or something.)

Beady eyes (can you tell I think her eyes are weird?)

Thick waisted (hence the jackets she always wears that are tailored and skim over the waist area)

Unattractive legs (why she usu. wears pants)

I wish she'd settle on one color for her hair.

Did she injure her vocal cords, or was she born with that high pitched nasal voice?

Does she really have a brain? Or was it replaced with jello at some point?

She walks like she's trying to avoid cracks in the sidewalk.

Oh, there's no end to the criticism of another's appearance, if we want to go there.

pulling little Jack's thumb out of his mouth (apparently)...they were discussing it on World News Now (ABC) and wondering why they chose that PARTICULAR picture...because of course it makes it come across badly...here's to that liberal media.blah!
