Call to arms, and feet, fellow Obama supporters!
The time for hale and hearty spirit is upon us. We have now faced the most withering (if incredibly inane) attacks the MSM can think up.

Why are they doing this? Easy - VOLUNTEER SUPPRESSION. The powers that be are convinced that a steady week-long diet of negative Obama stories (dressed as "the Rev. Wright issue") will so discourage us that our GOTV and canvassing will be abysmal.

Folks, it ain't happening here. I have convinced Mrs. Voice that she and I are going to spend a romantic weekend canvassing in Charlotte -- from Houston. I will not stand by and let the best thing since sliced bread be lost because of manipulation. I, and we, will not back down. There will be no suppression.

Chicago! You guys need to descend, en masse, on Indiana and make it happen there too.

BTW, who knows a nice place to stay in Charlotte?

28. Ditto the ?
The "blackout" you refer to, if actual, may be representative of what the OPer is referring to. Is there a diminished excitement among Obama supporters? Or have all the negative attacks distracted all the supporters, too, putting them on their heals instead of getting out there with non-negative comparisons of the candidates?

3. If there is an e-saver this weekend, I might just join you.
Our Obama staffers all packed up for NC and I already miss them!

Yep, I'll be checking those flights tomorrow!

:hi:

6. Excellent!
We spent our first anniversary in NC furniture shopping. It's a great state and a great place! It would be cool to have an out-of-state volunteer meet-up!

but I can't. I've doubled my # of daily phone calls. Maybe I'll triple it tomorrow.

7. Bless you.
Honestly, though canvassing is statistically more effective, phonecalls are really more efficient. You can reach so many people!

But me, I hate phonebanking. I'm a canvasser. Man, it's only been a week and I'm already itching to knock on some doors! I actually had a dream last night that I went down to NC!

11. See and that's why phonebanking is so important.
The word about that needs to be spread FAST. Canvassing just doesn't cut it in that instance. Grrr, I guess that if I can't fly down to NC this weekend, I will force myself to phonebank. Thanks for reminding me of why it's so important.

5. MSM is trying hard to make a race that's over not be over yet...
As for the MSM trying to shove the "importance" of Reverand Wright's speeches and attempting to pull off the scab of racism to associate him with Obama, it's only going to make African-Americans in North Carolina come out to vote with even greater numbers.

13. Notice the qualifier - "right now".
Once it's Obama vs. McCain, it'll get nastier -- but both ways. We're handcuffed right now.

17. I wish I could go!
Back in the Dean campaign, I got to travel to NH and Iowa on the campaign dime. If I had the money to spare, I'd love to go, but I'll just ave to make phone calls and send postcards from home instead. Have a GREAT trip!

34. Thanks for sharing a voice of calm and confidence
I can't fathom how some Obama supporters are suddenly feeling weak kneed - hell, we knew a last minute barrage was coming. We will not let the manipulation, bait and switch routine of the corporate press define the man.

The man named Obama is on a winning track - he needs our confidence now - and optimism that like everything else, he will work through it.

peace~:)
