God Bless the rich, we own the country and we're passing it on to our kids.

On the heels of begging for Scaife's support, Hill went on O'really and while trying to win him over said....

"Rich people, God bless us, we deserve all the opportunities to make sure that our country, and our blessings, continue to the next generation."

She is very clearly feeling cornered and lets her spoiled rich elitist colors shine through to try and connect with Bill. She spouts off the same anti-estate tax line of garbage that repugs spew on fox all the time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N64fDLplBfQ

Let's break it down.... "Rich people, God bless us,

That's pretty obvious, she's saying god bless rich people, and counting herself in that group of the rich. She knows she f-ed up because her people are already lying and claiming hill said blessed, and not bless. But just like with hill's lies about snipers, the video once again exposes this lie.

She continues.... "we deserve all the opportunities"

I have two issues with this. If she were talking about civic and social duty, she'd not be talking an opportunity, but rather an obligation. But she said opportunity. Also, she said the rich deserve, not just some, but ALL the opportunities.

So opportunities for what... "to make sure that our country and our blessings, continue to the next generation."

OUR COUNTRY? OUR, as in the rich... the "us" and "we" she just mentioned in the first part of her statement.

Hill seems to be confirming that she thinks that this country belongs to her and her wealthy peers... just like the blessings of wealth she thinks god himself bestowed upon her because she's so deserving.

And what does Hill think the rich deserve to do with THEIR country and THEIR blessings from god? Why, pass them on to their kids, of course.

Basically god has given wealth and control of this country to the rich, and they deserve ALL the opportunities to pass it on to their kids.

How many times have we heard that same crap used to get rid of the estate tax?

Her pandering to Bill is almost as sickening as her elitist attitudes.

9. Opportunities NOT Obligations
She blew this one and spoke her inner elitist here. Opportunities to get richer does not jive with obligations to give back. What a foolish little rich shit she is. Malignant narcissists are so fucking tiresome.

Edited on Fri May-02-08 02:59 AM by TLM

According to Hill, unless you're rich like her, this isn't your country.

And it is going to the next generation of rich.... because they deserve it.

Please explain why this country belongs only to the rich and why you think the children of the rich are entitled to inherit it?

30. She's not talkig about poor people.... she's talking about rich people....

Watch the vid, BillO points out he's a rich guy, not middle class and Hill chimes in with this exact quote.

"Rich people, God bless us, we deserve all the opportunities to make sure that our country, and our blessings, continue to the next generation."

There's not one f-ing word about the poor in that statement.

She says god bless the rich, they own the country, and they deserve to pass it on to their kids.

If Obama had said this exact same thing, the hill followers would be screaming their heads off about his disgusting elitism.

By building the infrastructure, picking the crops, cleaning, building cars, doing the things people in your class wouldn't ever lower themselves to doing.

the materials to build the infrastructure

The equipment and supplies needed to sow the crop so there is a harvest and get that harvest to market?

Build the plants and buy the material and technology to hire people to build cars?

Have the money to hire someone that provides the service jobs?

Do you think it just magically appears? It doesn't.

Do you know that 60 years ago there was not a larger upper or upper middle class in this country? That it was working class people that SAVED and INVESTED that created the upper and upper middle class and they are still working? Do you have any idea how many more jobs they created thereby improving this country for everyone?

You sound like someone that wants wealth redistribution so you can get a free ride off of the work of others.

And being treated with dignity, And having their share of the good and meaningful things in life.. Bread and roses too, as the song put it.

It isn't about me personally. Opposition to inequality and injustice has never been about mere envy.

And that working class that did the saving was given the chance to save by the militant struggle of the labor movement, which finally helped working people win something close to the decent wages that they naturally deserved. They created the wealth for the rich. The notion that we are beholden to the wealthy is sickening and pathetic. To believe it is to believe that the rest of us are of no value as human beings.

Why are you in this party if you're such a total economic royalist?

Donald Trump and Sam Walton aren't exactly on our side, y'know.

18. your view is skewed
the wealthy and the working class are interdependent one cannot exist without the other. We have to opportunity it improve our lives or waste them regardless of our financial net worth. True wealth is not what you can take to the bank although it is often reflected there.

I am not an "economic royalist" I am a capitalist. It is the best system that provides an opportunity for all.

America is one of the most generous countries in the world. Look at what is freely given to charities by individuals and foreign aid by our government.

Remember the 80/20 rule applies at every level.

34. If the wealthy and the working class are "interdependent", the wealthy seem to have forgotten that.
Their whole focus is on taking everything away from the working people who create their wealth. And those who provide the services and take care of the customers directly are just as much responsible for the creation of that wealth as any Pennsylvania steelworker or laid off Detroit autoworker.

If the wealthy would at least remember that it isn't ALL about them, I'd be more sympathetic to their views.

As it stands, they see all of us as the economic version of the Vietnamese village they have to destroy to save.

If you're on the side of the rich, could you at least see if you can get them to grow souls again?

poor in the fact they do`t have millions like her to start a business or like her that can get bank loans because of her name and position.
in the 80`s and 90`s my wife and i started a business with pretty much nothing and we did fairly well at it but we could`t get lines of credit and the health care costs at that time would have eaten up our profits...most of the business in this country were started by those who do not have millions like hillary does....

They made millions by bill going and speaking for groups that wanted to have a foot in the door of the whitehouse come 2008.

That's why hill is so desperate to win, because she owns a lot of people a lot of favors... people who will probably want their money back if Hill loses.

Edited on Sat May-03-08 06:02 PM by TLM

I simply can't believe they were this bad back in the 90's.

The primary reason I went for Obama is that he reminded me of what Bill used to be like back in 92... when he was the man from hope.

Now the clintons are just another pair of rich cynical elitist politicians, neither left nor right... but all about their own accumulation of more and more power and control.

Quite frankly someone who is participating in trying to set up a system where the presidency is handed back and forth between two rich and powerful families, should be more careful when talking about the rich owning the country and deserving all the opportunities to pass it on to their kids.

She sounds like a f-ing queen, speaking of divine right and royalty.

They say I'm twisting her words or taking them out of context, and yet I quoted her exactly, and broke down word for word to show she said what i claimed.

And I quoted her entire sentence instead of just quoting a bit from here and a bit from there with ... elipsis as hill did to Obama with the bitter comment.

If I wanted to do it Hillary style, I'd just have quoted this:

by taking two or three words from the front of a sentence and two or three words from the end of a sentence, in order to claim Obama was saying anybody who went to church or owned a gun was bitter and racist, are claiming I twisted Hill's words.

I quoted Hillary's whole sentence, and provided a vid that showed the question to which she was responding.

She said these words. I quoted her exactly.

What she may or may not have said at some other point in the interview in response to some other question, does nothing to change what she said or what the words she used mean.

As I said, if I wanted to treat Hill's words the way her campaign treated Obama's words... I'd have just quoted the first half of her sentence and spun it as if she was saying that the rich deserve all the opportunities, period.

"Rich people, God bless us, we deserve all the opportunities..."

Commerce without morality
Science without humanity
Worship without sacrifice
Politics without principle
