My Prediction: The Kantor YouTube will dominate the MSM...

It's almost a sure thing. Why? 'Cause unless there is something after the tornadoes to take up oxygen, the Kantor thing is far more salacious than anything in second place. Better yet:

It allows all of punditry to make continual pronouncements about its impact, and then argue about the differences in their opinions, based on their expert knowledge of the mindset of the working person.

It has George Stephanopolous in it, who just last week was the object of ridicule

It allows the MSM to re-open the issue of whether the Clinton campaign believes what its saying about the working class

It allows the MSM to re-open Hillary's linkage with lobbyists

It allows the local news stations to look offended

It allows the residents of Indiana to get pissed off and discuss how much they hate politicians

It re-invigorates the race debate, which is already in full swing

It brings up the trailer trash theme, which will spark more meaningless discussion in a downturn economy


Bottom line, I think we all know this issue is as meaningless as the Wright controversy, but the MSM works on a different rationale. They care about sensationalism and NEED it to feed the pundit machine. If there's no sensationalism, there is nothing for the bloviators to discuss. They WILL jump on this.

As much as the MSM wants hillary to stay in the race, they are not going to pass up an easy story that will sell.

the fact that this video is fake should mean what exactly? That the MSM won't cover it? You really believe that?

Now we'll have mouth reading experts, audio experts, and any other type of "Senior Video Correspondent" they can find.

Its certainly different than the video put on back in the early 90s, so at a minimum, someone would have to think that one is doctored. But again, this is irrelevant with regards to whether the MSM picks up on it. Unless something better comes along, this is their current frontrunner for the worthless bloviating machine.

The subtitled clip is the new one. The first one was posted in February and it's part of a collection of videos. Someone posted the entire movie in several parts. Part 9 has the Kantor comment at around 4:45.

Why would a person go to the trouble of posting a movie in multiple parts and dub one line of it?

Are you saying that someone (a production company) dubbed the documentary before it went to DVD?

I listened to both clips - one is intelligible, the other, with the captions, has TOTALLY different sound there.

The bass and midrange levels were cut and the treble was given a boost so the comment could be heard more easily. High range sounds like a hiss or a whisper are easier to hear with the treble way up.

If I raise my speaker volume to about 2/3, I can hear the comment on the original clip. I have good speakers, so that may be a factor. I also listened again and used the the basic EQ functions and I got a very similar sound to the subtitled clip simply by cutting the bass to the minimum level and boosting the treble to the maximum level. If I had midrange controls on the soundcard, I could easily duplicate the sound on the subtitled video.

Either way, I agree ... the MSM will run with it.

Now we can have the constant replay of BOTH clips along with a question of who brought this up. All the while Indiana will hear about how their people are "shit".

It's one thing to sleep with a pig, another to deny it.

Gotta keep the pressure up on this one to make sure it survives the weekend.

I've been a bit reluctant to post the day's much-emailed, 15-year old clip from 'The War Room' for a couple of reasons -- vintage, and differences from the original.

So this is kind of interesting: Mickey Kantor claims that the clip, in which subtitles have him claiming that the people of Indiana are ... excrement ... and then using a racial slur has been doctored.

He claims to have been deriding the polls, not the people, of Indiana -- I can't actually make out the word. And he denies using the n-word.

Take a look at the recently posted video; and compare with the video and audio around 4:45 from this fuller clip from the video. The offensive bit, which doesn't quite seem to match his lips, is also totally inaudible in the original. It seems to have been added in the new version.

for the ones that believe it was doctored it sure makes me understand how you still support Hillary. You don't even question how the director remembers that part of the movie all these years later and declares it doctored. Maybe, just maybe, Clinton gave him a call and his script for the media lol.

Even when people here who have the movie and listened to it with volume enhanced clearly hear those offensive words.

I accused "Gorgeous George" of "slipping a crib sheet" to Hillary before the ABC debate, and I was the subject of ridicule. Doesn't sound so outlandish anymore, does it? And don't forget that the clip also stars "Judas" James Carville!

"Allows?" I would have used the word "forces," because also this puts the MSM on the spot: Not covering this "scandal" is tantamount to "broadcasting" to the world that they're hypocritical, biased and shouldn't be trusted.

The spin on it is fake. What WILL dominate the news is if this lie can be linked to the Obama campaign in any way.
