I Thought DU Is Where We Are Supposed To Come For The Truth

If Mickey Kantor said the people of Indiana are shit for rejecting Bill Clinton in 1992 that is unacceptable...But if he called the people of Indiana "white n--ers" that is a much, much, much more heinous transgression...

However if he didn't say the latter and people are trying to convince others that he did that is even worse than the trangression Mickey Kantor was accused of...

Today -

Two Obama-logo wearing LONG TERM members said basically that it doesn't matter if the Kantor "thing" is true or false. They were just glad it was out there.

I'm not in either camp, having voted for Edwards and not seeing a whole lot of difference between "the other two"... but you will see me here defending both when people start hurling the contrived BS. No one deserves that. I'll hold my nose and vote for whomever gets the nomination. And it will NOT be a victory for either camp... their candidate will have won in spite of them.

38. It's not hijacking - you just don't like that I agree with the OP about Kantor brouhaha and
that SERIOUS ISSUES that ALL Dems should be concerned about like the suppression of black votes are getting overshadowed.

But maybe one needs a sense of proportion and a commitment to fair play to see it.

21. blm, it was well established early in the primary cycle that black voters should be discounted...
in states like SC. Now rather than discounting their votes, they'll make it easier for themselves by making sure that their votes won't be counted in the first place.

15. Occasionally this place gets whipped up into an irrational fury. The primaries
with pastor Wright, now this, and before that there was all sorts of kooky stuff, like Jeff Gannon being a long kidnapped boy from Iowa, etc. Shit happens.

No one here has been immune to it as far as I can tell.
