When the world gives you lemons,
squeeze the acidic juice out of them and spray them into your worst enemy's eyes. Cut your enemy with a corn stalk leaf and pour the remaining juice into the cut. Sure lemonade may taste good, go well with rum, and make you a buck, but there is nothing sweeter than seeing your enemy writhe in a slow meticulous pain. Man, I can't wait until the general election. The media and our respective democratic opponent keep handing us lemons (no matter which of our glorious candidates you support), let us use them properly on Crusty McWarhardon, our true foe.

Both of our candidates have gotten used to the sting, but I'm not so sure Crusty is ready. While we squirt the juice in each others' eyes for the next month or so, let us save a bit for McWarhardon.

4. Now that I think about it, have you ever read his autobiography or any of his letters
Look at his initial response to the Britain/India thing. More frighteningly, look at his response to the Jew/Nazi situation. That was some advice.

While rejecting the notion of a Jewish state, Martin Buber corrected him.

Oh yeah, and the wife beating thing was problematic too.

Look, I admire very much Ghandi. He is 1000 times the man I will ever be. But let us not think he was infallible, nor should we mistake my obvious METAPHOR for actual violence. Sometimes people are so silly; my lemon analogy was nothing compared to, ohhhhh, I don't know, beating one's wife.

6. Gandhi was not infallible
No one is. But even though he "practiced self-control" by having multiple virgins sleep in the bed with him (gurus generally have some tremendous failing), doesn't mean that we shouldn't work toward a higher existence and the only way to do that is to change the world by changing ourselves. Each of us has some glorious strength to bring to the stage.
