Ann Coulter Slammed for 'Joke' About 'Klan-Related Murdering'

NEW YORK Did Universal Press Syndicate columnist Ann Coulter joke about lynching in her latest piece slamming Barack Obama? A Huffington Post blogger thinks so.

Here's what Coulter wrote when discussing the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's former pastor, in her April 30 column: "Wright said it is a country 'where I can worship God on Sunday morning wearing a black clergy robe and kill others on Sunday evening wearing a white Klan robe.' (Unless, like me, you do all your Klan-related murdering on 'casual Fridays.')"

Huffington Post blogger Jeffrey Feldman decried Coulter's Klan remark, and wondered why CNN had her on as a guest yesterday. "I mean ... why is it that a pundit who jokes about lynching blacks is allowed to appear on the largest broadcast platform in America?," he wrote.

In her April 2 column last month, Coulter compared Obama's first autobiography to Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf." And, in the past, she has joked about the killing of liberal Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, other liberals, newspaper people, Arabs, and Muslims.

Where the hell is the 24/7 outrage over her continual hate speech? When will no producer outside Faux quit booking her when she has some new toilet paper book to peddle? When all the newspapers in this country ban her evil rhetoric?

We've had weeks of Rev Wright and the false hand-wringing and blather yet this creature continues to utter hateful crap against liberals, gays, blacks and NBC, CNN, MSNBC, etc. continue to invite her on. Hell Tweety was practically drooling over her.

5. They all defend each other. Her 9-11 widows "enjoying their husbands' deaths" quote was the worst.

Didn't matter. Racist Hannity, pill-popping Limbaugh, all the rest and their corporate handlers thought it was just fine.

The Right wants red meat hate, and she delivers. Hannity has surpassed Limbaugh now because he has out-hated him, and Limbaugh is reduced to stupid stunts (Operation Chaos). It's only going to get worse.

Tweety drools over Coulter; Stephanopoulos takes his questions from Hannity.

With all the nuttiness here, thank God for the Internet. I'm recommending this thread, but under no illusions that anything will change - except to get worse.

12. she's more than that. she defines the lunatic right so the REAL lunatics appear sane by comparison

i mean, she's openly advocated murder on more than one occassion. so that becomes the definition of the right-wing lunatic fringe.

so the whackjobs that matter, like the shrub clan, can appear sane and reasonable by contrast simply because they merely say things like torture is fine, non-believers shouldn't be allowed to be citizens, and all the other crap they say and do.

if it weren't for her, everyone would know that shrub was the lunatic fringe. they need coultergeist to have someone further off the deep end.

it's all orchestrated, and they very much know what they're doing.

The woman is a self-parody, it seems. Would anyone actually wish to be in the same room as her -- for any reason, unless you were in court and she at the defense table -- as defendent?
