The Media Is Doing An All Assault on Obama This Weekend
One hour Rev. Wright shows every night over the weekend. It's incredible to see them do this.

6. I fail to see how replaying week old, hour long speeches/questioning
as new news. Are we not at war right now? Is the economy not in the tank? I guess those things aren't considered 'news' to you. Just more distractions, and it sickens me that you, as a democrat, fail to see the problem.

Though Wright and Obama do not often talk one-on-one often, the senator does check with his pastor before making any bold political moves.

But we do have HRCs lying words on tape, not to mention Bill's - and don't think for a second they won't be on a continuous loop if she stole the nomination.

63. I'm sad too ~ wasting valuable air time on one issue
that will not change one damn thing in the lives of anyone other than the Re thugs and those that want to avoid talking about the issues.

We need to hear much more about the Gasoline Holiday ~ just maybe it has a part that may work for us.

I want to hear about the surge that doesn't seem to be going well.

Did anyone learn anything new about the DC Madam that "committed suicide" and may have had lots of names in her little book?

I heard that Jenna's wedding plans were front and center all weekend. What about her father's war in Iraq? I want to see all the "clips" of the darling little school children walking to school. Happily skipping with their books, holding their Mother's hand! Where are the school children?

Where are the "reporters" from Iraq that we once heard day after day telling us "Mission Accomplished?"

What's up with the ECONOMY damn it! Let's hear McCain's plan again , and HCBC's and Obama's.
I want it explained by all of them,in detail.

What happened to the big time plans for Immigration reform? I passed the local Home Depot and I could not get in the parking lot! There were at least 50 Hispanic workers, begging for jobs and trying to flag down every customer with no luck.

Finally got in and Home Depot had no one available to wait on me and about 5 customers total in the entire store. Home Depot was a ghost town. Where are the people, where are the jobs?

No, no mention of any major issues, just "clips" and discussion of a Minister with no church.
What about Fair and Balanced? I want to learn more about "The Family" and Rev. Hagee as long as we as American are told we are so interested in Christ. Let's explore the Religion of each candidate.
I'm Christian and I want to be more informed.

16. What "news"? Obama spoke to this issue twice, and no NEW developement since.
The only reason to keep rehashing it is to remind voters about the 'scary black man' so that they prop up Hillary's numbers as much as possible to make it seem like she's still in it.

The SDs need to start ending this ASAP because the media will keep breaking down the Dems' chances as long as there's no declared nominee.

68. Bull. Shit! I watched CNN last night....they had a big deal on Wright's views on right-left brain
thinking in education. Like anyone gives a rip about a pastor's views on this subject!? But it is Pastor Wright, and anything to get him more air time.

They also did a little biographical sketch on Hillary and on Obama. Hillary's was basically vapid, and so was Obama's, except with Obama's they ended it with a lead up to the Wright thing.....

They are cramming Wright up our arse. It is like the Swift Boat thing.

79. Well, A moment of sanity.
Obama made his bed, now he has to defend it.

This is the big leagues, and in this league expect to have a slew of beaners thrown.
Obama is a minor leaguer (as Ferraro correctly noted, as did the founder of BET).
He wasn't ready for the majors, and his coaching history is rife with exploitable weaknesses.

No assault.
It's called investigative journalism.

Wright is fair as an issue, something even Obama admitted.

Super Delegates Vote Hillary.

7. Is It Just A Coincidence That Bush/McCain Get A Free Pass?
Edited on Sat May-03-08 08:30 PM by Median Democrat
You would think that since we are mired in the mortgage crisis that the newspapers would examine McCain's role as a member of the Keating five. Perhaps the fact that McCain abaondoned his first wife, a former model, after she was disfigured in an accident. Or, what about McCain's admission that the war was about oil?

Of course, if Hillary was leading, then the networks would be running Hillary's baking cookies comment 24/7.

Remember, if fear is the enemy of reason as Gore noted in his book, then the corrollary is that reason and logic can be overcome by fear. Otherwise, there is no reason why McCain should be competitive with either Hillary or Obama.

8. This might be bad in the short term, but GREAT in the long-term
I realized as I saw some of it on CNN, that it seemed more of Obama's renouncing the Rev. than about what the Rev said. They kept playing Obama's words about meaning what he said when he denounced the pastor, about how the Reverend doesn't speak for his campaign, etc etc etc.

This will go a long way in 2 ways:
1. Taking this off the table for the GE
2. Convincing people that Obama has denounced his former pastor and has moved on.

The story is whether Obama did enough on denouncing the Rev. and why it took him so long etc. The end result is that more and more people are hearing that he has denounced the Reverend.

My logic is intact too.

Anywho, thanks for defending our outstanding media coverage of the Dr.Reverend Jeremiah Wright. There may be some voters who were in the potty when they aired the controversy the first 5 gazillion times. So I know you just want them to have the information that is important to their vote. Irrelevant news like John McCain's declaration of WAR FOR OIL! and the housing crisis, and the gas crisis, and the food crisis, and the soldiers that died in Iraq yesterday, and the bombings against Somalia, and war drums beating for Iran, and the torture issue, and the devestating tornadoes, and shark attacks, well, those things are far less newsworthy than what Senator Obama's former pastor said. I stand corrected. :)

44. And yet nary a mention of Hegge or pentagon propagandists
These "journalist" people make me sick. They put traitors at the round table, and show us propaganda at every turn. Now there is non stop Wright. I've just about given up on the TV except for entertainment and KO (love Rachel Maddow). The internet gives me my news, and I'm just waiting until they take that away too.
Outrage overload!!!

54. And just in case Obama
Gets through their bs, CNN is doing a special called 'race in America' this summer. Yep - anything to show 'differences' as opposed to how we could all work together to push back the fascist tide.

73. A full-fledged lynching.
The corporate media will lynch the black preacher and by association a major Presidential candidate as well. It is way out of control.

People are relying now more on blogs and other sources.

76. CNN is rerunning the Larry King Rev Wright show. Clinton is HARDLY being outspent.
With the help of her corporate news buddies she's outspending Obama.

78. I really bothers me a lot
that MSNBC has piled on with constant Rev. Wright BS crap 24/7. I used to be a constant viewer of all their political programs and kept the channel on for news all the time. Now I avoid it completely except for Keith O. I really thought that MSNBC was different, but now they seem like they are trying to be FOX News. CNN is not even as bad as MSNBC anymore to me. :-(

83. Don't watch it
and they'll stop playing this junk. I'm sure every Joe Bob in a trailer in Rooster Shit, AR won't know to turn off CNN, but we do.

I say start a microtrend and watch it bloom. Stop watching the 24's. CNN, MSNBC, FOX CNBC. Stop watching them. Just stop. Stop going to their websites.

By Odin's beard!
