Truth about Add On Super Delegates
Edited on Sat May-03-08 08:59 PM by Jake3463
There is alot of nonsense going on about this group today and I thought some truthiness would shine some light on this place.

Add on Super Delegates have always been a part of the process. There is nothing new being added. Each party gets a certain number of extra super delegates to send to the convention in August. The state parties get to decide not the candidates or anyone from the National DNC. To see the nominating schedule for Add On Super Delgates please click below.

There are about 40-50 people that don't know that they are super yet but will be by the end of June.

A little research would have cleared this up. There are no new rules in mid-stream.

3. Indeed. The head count is already known, the names just aren't.

5. Yeah, that makes more sense
One of the posted articles said someone just got this "great idea" one night this past week about adding SDs. Didn't sound right to me at all.

6. They probably took a quote
Out of context when they were designing the process for 2008...that's probably what happened someone got the idea and they all said that seems fair.

7. I wondered about that when I read the article about Richard Ray,
a super delegate who hasn't committed yet. I thought maybe I'd missed a memo! Actually, he's the head of the AFL-CIO in Georgia, but I thought maybe I'd send an email to the DNC and see what I could get started!
