POLL: "6 percent now volunteer that they want neither one to be the nominee"
Edited on Sun May-04-08 01:18 AM by Bluebear
WASHINGTON (CNN)....He said "6 percent now volunteer that they want neither one to be the nominee; no Democrats in the March poll felt that way."...

Overall, Clinton and Obama remain extremely popular among Democrats, but enthusiasm for both candidates is flagging as the battle for the nomination wears on.

Holland said just one thing separates Obama and Clinton in the minds of Democratic voters -- by a 20-point margin, 57 to 37 percent, Obama is seen as the one who is more likely to become the party's standard-bearer.

Obama leads the New York senator when it comes to pledged delegates, the popular vote and states won in the primaries and caucuses held to date.

big question facing Democrats concerns the party coming together and backing the eventual nominee. Will die-hard Clinton supporters back Obama if he's the nominee and will devoted Obama supporters get behind Clinton if she's the nominee?

I **HATE** that last paragraph's implications.

Ironic, too, all these states wanted to be "first" to have their primaries so that they would "count". And here we are.

4. My only hope is that Clinton will accept that this going on after May is bad for democrats and exit.
No I am not trying to force her to quit. That is her decision. But it is more than Obvious that she has to have LARGE wins in EVERY state from this point forward to even attempt to walk into the convention with an arguement for the supers who have been going to OBAMA and not her.

A few days till the 6th so we will have to see.

5. The battle is the problem. The loser needs to let go/go away so
we can get on with this. This is the first primary I've ever paid attention to, and it's been a doozy.

15. Frankly, I just want her to GO AWAY.. I don't even CARE if she campaigns for him
in fact I hope she doesn't , because it would not ring true after all she has done and said :(

I would prefer she go back to DC or Scranton, or Little Rock or Chappaqua or any of the nine or ten other "hometowns"..and just say "no comment"..

16. I'm With You
I feel so let down by her that I really hope she just vanishes from the public eye. Or joins the Repug party where she belongs.
