A Leftie would not have left the door to corporate tax cuts that ARE paid for open.

Anyone who thinks Obama is a Leftie just doesn't have his/her head screwed on straight.

1. TR?
It's a pet peeve of mine when people use initials, not telling everyone what they stand for. It's probably really obvious, but...?

12. The dog is an Airedale, one of the large ones...
His name is Charlie and he tips the scales at 100 lbs. My 16 lb. Brussels Griffon and I live with him, too.

4. On Meet the Press?
I noticed Obama is STILL answering questions about the "Right Reverend Wright".

Only in America, a president is impeached for and indiscreet liaison with an intern, a presidential hopeful is crucified over a loud mouthed preacher quoted out of context, but a dolt cum Texas ex governor from a family of Maine carpetbaggers rapes and pillages in the name of the War on Terror and gets away with war crimes, shitting on the Constitution and being an overall detrement to the world.

Don't get me started!

8. Hey, this is one Leftie who's fine with BHO, on the basic principle that his candidacy
is a call to responsible grassroots' activism. In other words, what those corporate tax breaks are and how they are paid for is at least 50% about us, and probably more than that.

10. Do you think McCain will spell out how to pay for them - cut SS, Medicare, public services?
Edited on Sun May-04-08 11:30 AM by dmordue
I don't think so. Besides I don't care if he has the right "lefty" talking points as long as his actions and words reflect progressive values

11. What's the point of posting this if you don't put the whole quote?
And then telling us you're too busy and look for it on youtube.

14. The point? Make of it what you will. It's called the Internet, Connie, and it's ALL about being
able to function on your own and not dependent upon others.

It was MTP; it will definitely be YouTubed.

13. Corporate taxes are significantly lower in Europe.
Which gives corporations an incentive to produce in Europe in some cases.

It is possible to structure a tax package that brings our corporate rates more in line with Europe, while offsetting those apparent cuts by closing other loopholes that currently favor offshoring.

A "corporate tax cut" is not necessarily anti-progressive - done right, it brings jobs back to this country. But of course McCain is not interested in doing it right.
