Poll question: If Obama wins both IN and NC, would Hillary drop out of the race?
Just wondering. It could happen!

1. As long as there's a chance she can force a brokered convention, she'll stay in.
No way she's quitting until the proverbial fat lady sings.

15. "Should" has nothing to do with it.
I think she should have done the party and the country a favor and stepped aside back in January, but does she listen to me? No, she doesn't.

17. Yeah, how dare she give the voters in other states a choice on who they want as their Nominee.

18. If not for the Clinton hubris, she'd have dropped out after Super Tuesday
at the latest. That's what candidates usually do when the odds are long and to stay in/win would mean damaging the probable nominee in a bitter and negative campaign.

2. I doubt it, if she is setting herself up for 2012 she will want a slime fest at the convention

3. Most Democrats would.
Which leaves HClinton in a special category.

The polling in Indiana appears to make it an uphill climb for Obama, although I see where the Muncie paper endorsed him. I was surprised (and delighted) with that. The statewide demographics favor HClinton in Indiana, which isn't to say she'll win without question.

In 1968 the Democratic Governor of Indiana, Roger Brannigan, ran as a favorite son in the Indiana primary and lost to a liberal Catholic from New York, Robert Kennedy. So I can definitely be wrong about Indiana.

If Senator Obama should win both NC and IN on Tuesday and HClinton remains in the race, I think the long knives come out of the kitchen drawer and start getting pointed at her egotistical throat.

4. If she loses both (she won't -- she'll win Indiana), there's a good chance enough superdelegates
would declare for Obama.

But, I don't think that will happen until after OR, WV and KY.

5. The primaries are no longer a factor. The SDs and the party will choose our candidate.
I believe this has been true for many weeks.

7. we will have to pry the nomination from her cold dead fingers.
a charlton hestonesque point of reference for the convention. the secret service is going to have to drag hilly & billy out of the convention kicking and screaming on international tv. it'll be quite the display. then they will write a book about how the netroots stole the nomination from them. they will go on the talk shows (maury, jerry and fox) bashing obama for the next 8 years. good times.

13. She shouldn't be running at all
Obama is the only candidate that should be out there. Everyone else should be supporting him and his march toward change.

She's a disgrace.

14. Not only will she not drop out of the race.
I fully expect her to aggressively deface the democratic nomimny after the convention. Trying to paint him as illegitimate so Nader can pull enough votes away to install McCain. At that point in time she will renounce the democratic party as being unelectable and join McCain's cabinet.

19. Im starting to see more clues that she wants to try her luck.
Tho yes it is likely that she will exit after a double loss because that will mean Obama will have fully regained the momentum in a time where she needs EVERY delegate badly.

But we need to be prepared for a month of work regardless!

And based on that, I don't believe she's ever going to leave.
