America's next First Family is Absolutely Gorgeous....

My daughter asked me to send Michelle Obama an email to see if they want to stay at our house when the come back to Texas!

They're the kind of kids that make me look forward to Halloween each year - I get so damned tickled at the kids, especially the ones with 'tude. I'm a sucker for 'in-your-face' kids who, when teased and joked with, give as good as they get.

and that's a good thing.

It's in the kids that we most often see the REAL 'values' and ideals (or lack of same) that drive our very existence. (The Bush twins betray the dysfunctional nature of that family, imho)

I love Sasha's Moxie ... she'd have me literally rolling on the floor laughing. The look on Michelle's face is perfect, too. There's no question those kids are "doing their job" and keeping a VERY talented Mom on her toes. They show ALL the body language of parents completely devoted to nurturing their kids ... NOT 'controlling' but developing their own individual abilities and personalities.

I contrast that to the Bush kids ... and Jenna behaving as though her Dad's opinion was unpredictable - like nitroglycerin.

I've see the utter disaster of parents that never nurtured their kids OWN ability to make their own choices, always making judgments (and punishments) without focusing on the 'why'. The symptoms are very evident when that's what's going on. I don't see it with the Obama family. They seem to be doing very well.

I think that came through loud and clear on her Ellen visit, when they called George. Her uncertaintly about "which version of Dad" would answer the phone was very telling.

In a way I feel sorry for those twins (Bush girls) They can't help it that their father is a complete loser :shrug: Just the fact that Jenna is considering all candidates (not just McInsane) is quite telling too.

I'm thinking back over other Dem families in the WH, and how well they've parented -- Johnsons, Jackie Kennedy, the Carters, the Clintons -- they all have very impressive children. Can't be easy.

You can tell they are a "hugging" family.

They make me remember my father. As soon as he walked in the room, he always gave me his full attention.

When I was a teenager and took my first plane ride by myself,my dad met me at the airport with long stemmed red roses when I returned.

I was a daddy's girl and you can see that he gains his strength from his two girls.

And, Dad is all dressed up for the campaign, but Michelle and the kids are dressed for work.

Every time I see Richard Perle on the tv, I tell my husband what a nightmare horror movie it would be to hear a noise outside when home alone, and peek through the curtain and see Perle's satanic, empty, blacker-than-black soulless eyes peering coldly into the window. These sweeties are a breath of fresh air to the entire world. Hope we have only a dim memory of the neocons 8 years from now. Not to celebrate too early. I am making a Mission Accomplished banner for Election day. And incarceration day would be a good time too.
