Hillary "Annie Oakley" is at it again
PATHETIC coming from the biggest Second Amendment opponent of them all. Not to mention taking Obama's comments COMPLETELY out of context and cutting them off. They simply have no shame. Disgusting. I wonder where the Bush people learned their slash and burn techniques from.

43. Indeed
I need to know that Hillary is willing to be as deceptive and manipulative as possible.

I revel in the tactics that she uses and consider it 'just politics' when she lies to advance herself.

When any criticism comes towards her i will repeat: 'it's just politics' and 'well, what about your candidate' as these thoughtful responses will shield me from the criticism.

:sarcasm:

Now after all this is over I want hearings for Clinton's dismissal from the democratic party (That does NOT mean she will lose her seat however) But till then nothing can be done it is entirely in her court.

And yes I want the same thing even if she works for Obama in the GE

But seriously compared to Bush McCain has some good about him.

He has seen SERIOUS action in the military

He is very popular with a class of republicans

It appears more and more that the age line will dull greatly if Clinton is Nominated because he will easily get the Netroots and people bolting from the democratic party after they feel the nomination was taken away from Obama for racist reasons..

NAFTA <<-- 1996 video.. Nuff said

58. Yeah, well, that's not going to work
Anybody that even vaguely follows the gun-rights issue knows that the 1993 Federal Assault Weapons Ban is commonly called the "CLINTON assault-weapons ban".

Her "kitchen sink" strategy she's using against Obama is also what her and her anti-gun friends use against the Second Amendment. Pass any restriction you can against guns and their owners, no matter how ridiculous, just to discourage gun ownership and fabricate an issue to take a stand on.

Incidently, it is also the strategy that the anti-choice zealots use against abortion. Any regulation you can, no matter how asinine it is!

spoiled brats is putting it ni cy nice. Nixon coined that term. But if you had ever heard what some of those costume designers have to say about those actors ,why, you might not believe such language exists! And if you ever had the opportunity to discuss actors with a writer on strike in LA , you would know a brand new language! But people out there don't know about life in LA!And even if they do,how would you tell them about the unbelievable! Or why would you bother really? !

It will all boil down soon enough .

31. As an Idahoan, I am appalled that Hillary's campaign is making these false claims.
Basically, Obama had our vote before he even came to Idaho the weekend before Super Tuesday.
He didn't promise anything to us that made anyone vote for him.
That's absurd.
I went to that rally and Obama didn't promise that he would "wave a wand" or anything like that. He never said it would be easy.

He said that he knew some of us had received e-mails, like some of the Democrats did in Iowa, saying that Obama was out to ban all guns and that he was a Muslim.
He wasn't angry about it, he sort of laughed it off as just being silly crap, which it is.
He simply said that he wasn't out to get our guns and that he was a Christian that went to the same church for 20 years. He mentioned both issues in the same sentence.

The same way people do when they talk about it here.
It all seemed very normal to me.
I didn't even take note of the fact that he talked about both issues in the same sentence until it was pointed out to me by a friend of mine who is from California.
It was no big deal to me.

Clinton Mail Attacks Obama on Guns

Hillary Clinton has re-opened her sharp attack on Barack Obama's position on guns, with a mailer in Indiana that seeks to raise questions about him with both supporters and opponents of gun rights.

The piece is particularly striking coming from Clinton, who has been seen for most of her career as a firm advocate of gun control, but more recently has emerged -- without dramatically shifting her stance on specific issues -- as a defender of the Second Amendment who fondly recalled being taught to shoot by her grandfather in Scranton.

53. Democrats with mixed records on gun issues
should avoid attacking other Democrats for those same reasons. It just starts the attacks that the Repugs will use (and have used quite effectively in the past- the anti-Gore campaign in 2000 comes to mind) a few months early. On issues where there are clear distinctions between Clinton and Obama it makes sense for Clinton to talk about Obama's record/stances. On gun issues, it just seems ridiculous, IMHO.

He was referencing them as wedge issues--which Republicans (and now Hillary) have utilized gun rights as. It had absofuckinglutely NOTHING to do with favoring or disfavoring them.

69. It was, what, 2 weeks ago that she promised to outlaw the most popular rifles?
As a gun owner, I personally think Obama would be better on guns than Clinton. BECAUSE, I think Senator Obama is smart enough to drop the ban-more-guns thing and leave the issue to the states. Hillary, on the other hand, has promised to make outlawing the most popular guns in America a "top legislative priority," and she is very closely aligned with corporatist gun-control proponents at the DLC, IMO.
