Hillary Clinton As Bush In A Pantsuit
Published May 4, 2008

This is the kind of thing Bush always does. Dismiss the experts, put down people with intelligence and expertise, deride them and ignore them in favor of short term policies with slightly populist overtones that turn out to be a mess. This is the same sort of thing she pulled when she voted for the Iraq War.

“I’m not going to put my lot in with economists,” the New York senator said when asked to name a credible economist who supported her proposal.

“We’ve got to get out of this mind-set where somehow elite opinion is always on the side of doing things that really disadvantage the vast majority of Americans,” said Clinton, a former first lady who would be the first woman president.

Ron Suskind detailed this sort of world view back in 2004.

In the summer of 2002, after I had written an article in Esquire that the White House didn’t like about Bush’s former communications director, Karen Hughes, I had a meeting with a senior adviser to Bush. He expressed the White House’s displeasure, and then he told me something that at the time I didn’t fully comprehend — but which I now believe gets to the very heart of the Bush presidency.

The aide said that guys like me were ”in what we call the reality-based community,” which he defined as people who ”believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.” I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. ”That’s not the way the world really works anymore,” he continued. ”We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

With this move - and many others - Clinton continues to move away from a reality-based view of the world.

Mood swings, commonly associated with female menopause, are now also being more accepted as a common side effect of male menopause, known as Andropause.

enter 'male mood swings' in your search engine, mine gave me 896,000 possibles

42. You are mistaken - it is used to depict the attitude changes of
all people - you are being far too sensitive and silly.

You do the research, you will find how mistaken you are if you truly open your mind and close your heart to the hatred you allow to seep in. Equal opportunity means equal treatment and equal understanding. You expect special treatment, you demand special understanding and you behave as if you have some great insight you do not have.

17. More answers to "How do we beat the bitch?"
Remember when the McCain supporter asked, "How do we beat the bitch?"

So far, we've seen attempts to do that coming from all quarters, and today we see a new one here on DU.

Republicans ask:
Q: How do we beat the bitch?

And Republicans answer:
A: We could start posts at Democratic websites that question her sanity. Then, when her defenders show up, we can entice the two sides to fight and insult one another, increasing the chances that some of them will stay home on election day.

That's one way how we can beat the bitch.

58. I would disagree with one point.
I don't think it's necessarily republicans doing it any more. I think they might have started the ball rolling and even fanned the flames for a while, but the fact remains that a bunch of long time DUers have taken the ball and run with it. I think a bunch of DUers need to go look in the mirror to see who's at fault.

27. No, she just is the most transparent panderer ever
After this primary season, I have no idea what besides the presidency, she really wants or cares about.

Everything else from her and her campaign is Pravda-like spin that not only does not pass the laugh test, but because it doesn't insults Democratic voters who are expected to believe it.

And I'm not demeaning her, she did it herself. I would never have said any of that before, but her actions this year make this judgement the reasonable one.

34. I think she is stunned....
more than anything else. Stunned that the Clinton name didn't bring her more than what she got. I don't think she realized how upset people are with her IWR and NAFTA and stuff like that. I think the poor old thing is still in 90's politics and is finding it difficult to bullshit a younger generation and she can't figure out why her and Bill aren't literally adored like they were in the 90's. Times, people and ideas change and I don't think she sees herself as status quo Washington insider like others do. They see a Washington problem and not a Washington solution in her. We had some decent times under the Clintons, but like all things America wants to move on. 20 years of Bushs and Clintons is enough. The higher the pedestal you climb the further you fall. The further you fall the more it hurts.

I think she is stunned and disappointed may even feel a little betrayed by the ones that once adored her.

But Look, My opinion and .75 will get ya a cup of coffee anywhere in town, or it used to?
