SELF DELETE - Wrong Forum.
Edited on Mon May-05-08 11:22 AM by gateley
It went on for a few minutes -- not screaming like the Blue Angels, but you can tell by the sound they weren't commercial airliners. Here comes another one.

I understand we've got a few bases around us, but I don't recall hearing this much activity before. I've got my :tinfoilhat: on because I've heard that ideally bombing missions are scheduled for New Moons, which is today (what time is it in Tehran, I wonder...)

EDIT: 8:22pm in Tehran

5. Doubtful...it's a long trip.
It can be done in a day, but that hasn't been done, to the best of my knowledge, since the beginning of Desert Shield.

It's just way too taxing to fly a fighter for that long...especially when they have to refuel inflight.

6. But in the case of some bombers.....
it was decided that it was cheaper and more secure to fly some bomber missions from the US and refuel them in-flight than it was to establish and secure bomber bases in Iraq.

I think that the Stealth Bombers are supported at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, MO., about 90 minutes southeast of me and I saw a local news report about 3 years ago in which it was stated that there was no place secure enough overseas to support the Stealth Bomber. It was cheaper, easier and more secure to fly those bombers round-trip from Missouri to points overseas and back without touching the ground.

But, for all I know, the news report was more propaganda put out by the Pentagon or the * admin.

4. IIRC, there's a big military exercise in Alaska starting today.
I have no clue if there's a connection with what you're seeing in NC, but. . . .

8. I think I knee-jerk reacted -- but there's a big
FEMA/Northern Command/Homeland Security "exercise" taking place in Washington State and Oregon until the 8th, too.

9. they won't bomb tehran
it'll be densely populated wherever they do strike, just because Iran is densely populated, but not tehran

they can't get away with the "precision" BS if they bomb tehran
