I had what I think may just be a brilliant moneymaking idea
So, Im always thinking on creative ways to make my first million. or even my first thousand. As I drove the work van around today, I came up with another one.

If I drove around every morning, plucking out all the Ron Paul signs that swarm in every median and strip of public land along the roadways, and collected them up, I would be able to net a tidy number every day. Then, if I found the right person, perhaps I could sell them back every day so that they could replant them each night, as they do. I'm sure I could beat the prices of their current suppliers.

I'm just thinking, that seems like libertarian thinking at its best. free market, supply and demand, appropriation of public resources for private gain.

Any thoughts?

1. The key is expanding your consumer base
And by that I mean recruiting more stupid people to become Ron Paul supporters. The current ones will quickly run out of money and be unable to purchase your signs soon enough.

2. I dunno
the campaign seems to be doing ok so far. Money-wise, and in internet polls, if not by any other measure.

7. I'm ok even if they go for a libertarian third party.
Half price is good for me. If I can move enough inventory to make up for the discount, I would even drop it to 1/3 price.

6. Ah, okay

8. They really love the medians and the on/off ramp areas
It seems like ODOT and the city pluck them up regularly, but they are generaly replaced by the next morning. I will give them that they have persistance. If only we could harness it and use it for good.

9. you'd be better off "contracting" your services to Dubya's administration....
Edited on Tue May-06-08 04:14 AM by ruby slippers
you could charge quadruple to pull up Democratic signs....but, you would have to sell your soul to do something like that...but, then again, you want money, right? Contractors for Bush get paid a LOT!!!!

12. I havn't been seeing democratic signs on public lands
or, at least not national candidates. I don't want to steal signs. Just appropriate ones that are public domain.
