Ok, Lets say Nader see's the light
About 2-3 weeks before the election have a rally in a battleground state. Have Nader come out as a complete surprise and endorse Kerry. This would get some good media attention and add a late bounce for Kerry leading into the home stretch. Just think if Nader's Polling numbers would go to Kerry (witch most would). These 7 states are close enough that a Nader endorsement could turn them blue, almost guaranteeing a landslide.

Maine: Kerry 46%, Shrub 45%, NADER 5%..........Outcome Blue

N.H: Kerry 45%, Shrub 43%, NADER 3%...........Outcome Blue

Ohio: Kerry 47%, Shrub 45%, NADER 3%.........Outcome Blue

Iowa: Kerry 47%, Shrub 46%, NADER 1%.........Outcome Blue

Arkansas: Kerry 45%, Shrub 47%, NADER 4%.......Outcome Blue

Tennessee: Kerry 48%, Shrub 48%, NADER 1%......Outcome Blue

Florida: Kerry 45%, Shrub 46%, NADER 2%.......Outcome Blue

I think everyone on DU should flood the Nader campaign with letters pleading with him to drop out. Make sure you attach a copy of the life time ratings of both Schrub and Kerry for the League of Conservation Voters.

1. that would be a dream come true - he would have monopolized
R time and money. Could he feel guilt about the 2000 outcome and the resulting damage bush has wrought? That's a nice thought. I hope he does drop out - thanks for the suggestion of pleading with him.

2. Bush wont have a life time record from the LCV because he was
never in congress. That said Kerry has a 95 lifetime from the LCV, 90 from the AFL-CIO, 96 from ADA, and 4 from ACU, he also has a more liberal voting record than Kennedy and has been hte most liberal senator 5 times.

4. I think he would love the attention
Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 01:19 AM by Cronus
...and use it to say that Democratics are desperate and his campaign is working.

Instead, I recommend giving him all the attention he warrants, which is minimal to non-existent. Three words are sufficient to sway any reasonable voter; "Supreme Court Justices" and the unreasonable are, well, un-reason-able.

Choose Kerry Lose Bush - FUCK BUSH - Drop Bush Not Bombs!

9. Nader is on the ballot in just two of the 7 states listed...
Maine, which is likely to swing overwhelmingly toward Kerry after the convention. And Florida, which is the only state listed with Nader on the ballot..likely to remain close until the end. Hopefully Kerry will not rely on just two states to get elected.

Nader will not be on the ballot in N.H.. Both Nader and Cobb are unlikely to gain ballot access in the other four states by August.
