Clinton Campaign Deathwatch
So, when do you think she'll either quit or be unable to continue. Anything happening today that we should take as clues?

1. Weeks ago, couple of months maybe
I watched the first terminator movie, near the end when it's all but over and the upper half of the machine was dragging itself along toward the crusher where it ended I couldn't get the thought out of my head that this is the direction the race seems to be going as well. I think it will end much the same way. Only question is if it will be public or private.

If I had to guess she'll quit when a sizable number of her super delegates inform her that they are about to switch sides, that might get her to pull out to avoid the embarrassment of being publicly abandoned. When that would happen I couldn't say, depends on people I don't know enough about. Soon I'd hope.

15. Hmmm....

Eyes are still glowing red... nope, she's not dead yet, send her through then trash compactor again!

(OK, guilty of kicking them while they are down... in my defense, she hasn't dropped out yet!!!)

23. Yeah...
I was hesitant about posting that because of the associations, I was thinking more along the lines of she'll go until she's stopped rather than a direct comparison though I can't say that has never crossed my mind either.

As much as she personally deserves it and as sure as I am that Perry wouldn't offer us the same respect if the situations were reversed, I have to agree with what he said later in the thread. Might be better to let this one drop and see if this thing can't wind down with some grace. Even if we don't think they'd do it for us, that was supposed to be the difference between the campaigns.

2. I don't think she's going to quit.
And I do not retract my previous statements that she has to be the nominee to keep things going the way they are going. She's going to act as if the Indiana 2 point victory means this goes on. I've seen nothing to indicate otherwise. Until she actually concedes, all this talk about Obama's VP and how "It's over" is nothing but drivel. I cannot see her bowing out gracefully.

It's a "victory" and this will go on.

6. Please take this down and be classy
Last night was painful for the Clinton supporters...the pundits declaring her campaign over was something I didn't expect and I am sure they did not either...I'm an Obama supporter and I feel a little shell-shocked, so I can just imagine how they feel. Please be classy and stop starting these deathwatch threads.

concerning the race and if it is coming to an end. I don't have TV and what happens in the next 24 hours could be very big stuff, so I'd like to have one thread where people can post the relevant info.

17. She'll probably continue on to West Virginia and Kentucky for a couple of wins,
then the Obama streak would begin again. It probably depends on the number of superdelegates who commit today.

21. I can see going to WV, but KY votes the same day as OR.
It would be a night like last night, with a win and a loss. WV is her last "good news" day. But, the media narrative has changed to "It's too late".

We'll have to see if she wants to get ahead of the superdelegates making big moves.

24. Which means both candidates win that day & that's a good way to go out, particularly since
he will then have greater than 50% of pledged delegates

25. It won't be much different than last night,
but I see your point.

I think it depends on the Superdelegate movement.

27. For a month its been a zombie campaign.
PA was her last chance & she lost. She lost again in IN and NC yesterday. Hillary's run for the White House is dead. It just needs to stop twitching.
