The old, white working class act didn't work all that well either. Being Americans in the 21st Century, most voters said "Hey, that's not me!" and promptly cast their lot with Barack. Hill discovered that her base of white, working class Dems, women and older people is not expandable - a point that should not be lost on the superdelegates.
Last night Barack won the popular vote by over 210,000 votes. He won 12 more delegates than Hillary did. He won the 10th largest state in the Union - convincingly. For a couple of months, he's been securing 6 superdelegates for every one Hillary gets. Last night, during her subdued speech, Hillary realized it was over. You could see it, hear it, feel it. She's done - at worst, her consolation prize is to be Senator from New York - damn good if you ask me.
