this thing is over. Everyone knows it but hillary. Give them time to call her and talk some sense into her. Her cell phone is going nuts right now. Believe it.

4. She is not listening. They need to come out and do this in public.
My patience has ran out.

She is even having a news conference right now saying that she intends to continue. Where are the phone calls?

The SDs will have to publicly decide this.

11. they will
even they cant believe what she is doing today. They thought she would do the right thing. After today it will be clear she won and they will act. They are giving her the benefit of the doubt. Something despite how much I despise her at this point she has earned.

15. this was post from this morning that went over like a lead balloon
this is HOW I want to feel abot Hillary...again

Fellow Democrats; It's Time To Stop Beating Each Other Up

It's time to heal and time to unify OUR party-all of us, BOTH sides. We need to stop baiting each other and making fun of each other. We need to beat John McCain in November with Barack Obama as our candidate and possibly Wesley Clark (a Clinton guy) as the VP. Please Obama supporters be kind to our brothers and sisters who have fought a valiant fight for a GREAT democrat Hillary Clinton-we need her in this party-remember she helped a LOT of congressional democrats with MILLIONS of dollars after she was so flush with cash after the '06 re-election was in the bag. It's time-we NEED the Clintons to be with us, we NEED to stop fighting-starting TODAY.

5. So far today its just Shuler for Clinton
He said he would endorse whomever won his district last night. Clinton won it and he confirmed today he endorsed her. Sadly I believe we are in a catch-22. Superdelegates want to let Clinton drop out before rushing to Obama. Clinton will not drop out until the superdelegates rush to Obama. Which side blinks first?

10. thats a very good way of putting it
i agree with you, neither side wants to make the first move

since this thing HAS to end with the superdelegates, imo they should do it TODAY. just end it.

13. Well this was her news conference. She was pretty clear about her intentions.
She even went as far as saying if the democrats had the GOP rules she would be the nominee!

16. Yes... and Edwards did much the same.
Not sure if it was a press conference, but I bet it was. He said he was committed to staying in, that the numbers were good in OK and he expected to be making a comeback...

7.  Obama gains superdelegates after trading wins with Clinton
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080507/ap_on_el_pr/primary_rdp_95

Barack Obama pocketed the support of at least four Democratic convention superdelegates on Wednesday, building on the momentum from a convincing North Carolina primary victory. Rival Hillary Rodham Clinton disclosed she had loaned her strapped campaign an additional $6.4 million in recent weeks.

Clinton showed no sign of surrender in the presidential race, but former Sen. George McGovern, the party's 1972 presidential candidate, urged her to reconsider.

Obama was at home in Chicago during the day as his aides spread word that he would soon begin campaigning in states likely to be pivotal in the fall campaign. They also relayed word of the four endorsements, expected to be made public later in the day. Both disclosures were meant to signal fresh confidence that the nomination was quickly coming into his possession after a grueling marathon across 15 months and nearly all 50 states.

The former first lady campaigned in West Virginia, site of next week's primary, in a hastily arranged appearance meant to underscore her determination to stay the course. She also arranged a private meeting later in the day with uncommitted superdelegates.

18. McGovern.
Or had he already endorsed Obama and only urged HRC to withdraw from the race today?
