Obama and Obese - not that she's really that fat : just a poor choice of clothes at times. Maybe she does that to make Bill look Smart :)

she adamantly says: "and that's exactly what happened". Ouch.

highly significant.

3. A recap like that deserves a sound track--may I recommend:
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy.

With a load of iron ore - 26,000 tons more
Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty
That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed
When the gales of November came early

The ship was the pride of the American side
Coming back from some mill in Wisconson
As the big freighters go it was bigger than most
With a crew and the Captain well seasoned.

Concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms
When they left fully loaded for Cleveland
And later that night when the ships bell rang
Could it be the North Wind they'd been feeling.

The wind in the wires made a tattletale sound
And a wave broke over the railing
And every man knew, as the Captain did, too,
T'was the witch of November come stealing.

The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait
When the gales of November came slashing
When afternoon came it was freezing rain
In the face of a hurricane West Wind

When supper time came the old cook came on deck
Saying fellows it's too rough to feed ya
At 7PM a main hatchway caved in
He said fellas it's been good to know ya.

The Captain wired in he had water coming in
And the good ship and crew was in peril
And later that night when his lights went out of sight
Came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Does anyone know where the love of God goes
When the words turn the minutes to hours
The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay
If they'd fifteen more miles behind her.

They might have split up or they might have capsized
They may have broke deep and took water
And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the wives and the sons and the daughters.

Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings
In the ruins of her ice water mansion
Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams,
The islands and bays are for sportsmen.

And farther below Lake Ontario
Takes in what Lake Erie can send her
And the iron boats go as the mariners all know
With the gales of November remembered.

In a musty old hall in Detroit they prayed
In the Maritime Sailors' Cathedral
The church bell chimed, 'til it rang 29 times
For each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald.

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they say, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early

Sung to the tune of Rise, Hillary, Rise. :puke:

10. My favorite - two days ago at a high school polling site -
President Clinton was greeting voters while Obama supporters (with portable microphone) were screaming within a few feet of him - "Fuck you Bill" "Fuck you Bill" "Fuck you Bill".

That should help realy Obama win over the Hillary supporters come November.

24. Come-from-behind victory!
Here's a doozy from yesterday:

The Clinton campaign continued on without a break after last night’s potentially devastating results, as Hillary Clinton made a last-minute stop in this college town to tell voters in the upcoming primary state just how big her two-point win in Indiana really was.

“We were very excited about our come from behind victory in Indiana, where people are concerned about the economy,” she told a crowd of supporters mixed with a healthy number of students with Obama t-shirts. “There’s a lot of reasons why I think we came from about 8 or so points behind to win.

30. Some Obama supporters here say that Hillary isn't so bad & "she's one of the good guys."
And I'd like to be more charitably disposed towards her because she is a fellow Democrat (I'll take her at her word). However, these clips are a very good illustration on why my blood pressure spikes whenever I get so much of a glimpse of her. I really, really, really, really, really, can't bring myself to NOT dislike her vigorously. I'm trying. But, just last night, I saw that whiney-ass clip of her saying (AGAIN) "You know, I'd already BE the nominee if we had Republican rules." I mean, seriously....Her arrogance and hubris and her willingness to align with McCain or do whatever sleazy thing she thinks will help her campaign are SO off-putting to me.

58. Yeah, her bizarre lack of congratulating him on his wins was just weird.
That whole long stretch, when he won state after state, and she just couldn't bring herself to say a simple, boilerplate congratulations - or even thank her supporters in the states she lost (or even mention the states themselves, for that matter).

That was weird, and really showed who she was. It's part of the reason her supporters are so bitter - they are merely following her lead.
