Obama just chumped Mitt Romney VERY FUCKING hard on CNN
They played a clip of Mittens criticizing Obama's lack of executive experience. Obama responded by saying that Mittens had said all the same stuff about John McCain, "and look where he is now. And here I am, and (gestures towards the screen that just showed Romney) there he is."

It was pretty brutal. Hopefully I can find a video clip because paraphrasing doesn't do it justice.

Making fun of the clothing mormons wear is on par with calling someone who is muslim a "rag head"

I'm tired of people using the broad label of "faith" to justify any belief. Yes, they absolutely have the right to hold those beliefs. I also absolutely have the right to express my opinion that something is poppycock. As I said, the blanket of "religion" doesn't shield anybody from that. Many religious people often have no qualms about pointing out that nonbelievers are going to Hell. I have no qualms about pointing out that many of them embrace a lot of nonsensical beliefs in order to not have the responsibility of thinking for themselves.

My breakfast cereal talks to me and guides my life. -- "Ooh. That person is nuts. S/he needs help and maybe some meds."

My religion tells me that my breakfast cereal talks to me and guides my life." "Oh, isn't that wonderful? Her/his FAITH is so strong!"

my wife is mormon... that's her belief... it is one thing for people to say they think her beliefs are wrong... and it's a whole other thing to taunt and make fun of that persons religion.


It's called being polite.... you can spout homophobic or racist or sexist views if you hold them... but that doesn't mean you should.

In this case... you shouldn't of.
