Don't Give Up!
Edited on Thu May-08-08 05:06 PM by Zachstar
The road has been long and hard... And recent events are trying to distract us from our efforts for Obama. Yet we MUST NOT remain distracted!

There are several upcoming contests that are looking VERY good for Clinton. Us being distracted now can mean that she can sneak in blowout victories and perhaps get enough support to try to go to the convention! A disaster for the democrats!

If you can fly out to these states please do so! If not there is still a BIG amount of Phonebanking left to do! And it is vital to get in contact with these states and let the people know we want these states in play!

Lets do this!

3. Obama hasn't won either
"A brokered convention refers to a situation in United States politics in which there are not enough delegates obtained during the presidential primary and caucus process for a single candidate to obtain a majority in the first round of voting of the presidential nominating convention. Once the first ballot has been held, and no candidate has a majority of delegate votes, the convention is then considered brokered, and the nomination is decided through political horse-trading and further ballots."

11. No, but he's a hell of a lot closer to the nomination than Hillary can ever hope to be.

16. Do you want to lose the GE?
The party unfortunate enough to have a brokered convention has lost every election-McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan (1976). Reagan was the only candidate to ever return to a presidential primary after a brokered convention. Is Hillary's nomination more important than winning the general election? I know it is more important to Hillary to be nominated than for the Democrats to win in the fall...but surely getting rid of the Republicans is more important to Democrats-even Hillary supporters.

5. Bwhahaha! Surely you jest! Tell that to the SDs who have been flocking
to him. Nary a one lately for Clinton.

9. Not yet, but soon. And go have a look at the numbers; she cannot win,
and lots of people have said so. Try a google if you don't believe me. I'm sorry to inform you, reality might suck, but that's the way it is.

14. Also Sen. Obama will win Oregon and the two western states
She looks pathetic now. It is embarrassing. I can't stand her, but I almost feel sorry for her. It's a tough thing to walk away from what is probably a life long dream. However, her staying in a blowing out Obama in West Virginia and Kentucky will make Barak look weak, thus strengthening John McCain. For that, I will never forgive Hillary.

20. I will!
I called people in Indiana. It was very intimidating. I'm not used to calling people who might get mad and hang up. Most people were nice though.
