Clark
The idea of HRC running for VP on an Obama ticket strikes me as being totally bizarre. Much more acceptable, IMHO, and bringing a truckload of assets to such a ticket, would be Wes Clark.

I'd also love to see John Edwards in the VP slot but I suspect he's gotten very much involved with the anti-poverty campaign, and then again there are the Edward's personal problems resulting from his fantastic wife's current physical situation.

So, for me, Obama/Clark or Obama/Edwards would be the best of all possible worlds. Both would bring strengths to the ticket and neither would provide grist for the media's mill as a Obama/HRC ticket would.

1. Sounds good
they are both very intelligent and would probably even enjoy each other.
Clark can bring the foreign policy experience.

2. Yep
I've been banging that drum too though I don't know if Edwards would take the offer. He's been down that road once. Although it might seem more attractive after his campaign kind of flubbed.

I'm leaning toward Clark for VP. With his military experience he'd add a very strong voice to Obama's campaign. Frankly, I'd like to see them both in the administration somewhere if some one else gets the nod.

4. Jim Webb is the best choice, he brings blue collar workers and military experience
Plus he is from a key swing state.

5. Two senators on a ticket is suicide.

7. I highly doubt the notion that people won't vote for someone because they are a senator

Also, what do you called Kerry/Edwards?

9. Well, juding from history: suicide

But, perhaps it is best to put that little bit of history behind us and look forward. We can't rerun that primary or election, can we?

On edit: It is also CW--only 2 sitting Senators have ever been elected President.

10. I called Kerry/Edwards a mistake, and that was one of the reasons.
Even having one Senator against an incumbent pResident (miserable failure that he is) was a bad idea.

That's why I supported Howard Dean.

Obama being a Senator would be a liability if the Pukes were running a governor. But since they got Grandpa McLoon in there, each side having a Senator at the top of the ticket makes that much a "wash". Grandpa's gonna go with some governor as his running mate. Probably Mittens or the Huckster. We should go with executive experience in the VP slot.

6. I don't think any general should be the VP.
I can think of many others I would rather see as VP.

Richardson, Webb, Edwards all work.

8. Agreed but I doubt it'll happen, sadly.
I don't think Clark would accept, though I hope I'm wrong.

At this point, I'm pulling for Obama/Richardson. I think it's more likely and even more unstoppable than the supposed "dream ticket." Just mho.
