Freeper Lies about Kerry

You all know that despite O'Reilly's absurd assertion to the contrary, the REpubs have mounted a multi-faceted smear campaign against Kerry. They've distorted his record in Vietnam (didn't serve that long, falsely accusing fellow soldiers of war crimes, etc), his Senate record (weak on defense, voted against every major weapons system, most liberal, etc), and accused him of being eberything from a communist who cavorted with Jane Fonda and Daniel Ortega, to being a flip-flopper with no conviction. Web sites like WinterSoldier.com, and boatloads of books are written, and right-wing pundits spread these lies daily.

My point is, should Kerry do more to counter these attacks? The media has made it clear they're against him, and the Bush campaign has their foot soldiers and character assassins out in force. I know Kerry's wants to rise above the fray, but he needs to defend himself.

They all did it in the convention speeches and nothing is being passed on anymore.
