A Mother's day present that bombs...

My mom and I have had many discussions about the Democratic primary race. In all of these discussions, she said that she was supporting Obama over Hillary, for many of the reasons that have been discussed in this forum.

So as a part of her Mother's Day presents, I sent her some Obama bumper stickers and assorted pins.

So I call her on Mother's Day, and asked if she had received them yet. And she says "So YOU'RE the one who sent the Obama stuff!"

"Well, yes" I said. You are supporting him, right?

"I've changed my mind" she said. "If Hillary's willing to fight to the death to the very end, regardless of the odds against her, then she's my woman!!!"

Yikes...

Well, dear old Mom is 86. I'm not about to get into a political argument with her. At least she's a Democrat.

So I said "Okay Mom -- if Hillary, by some miracle, pulls off this election and wins the primaries, I will replace all of your Obama stuff with Hillary stuff. Either way you will be ready for the General Election."

She was satisfied with that.
