A bitch about post-convention bounce
Everywhere we see the media discussing the lack of a 'bounce' for the Kerry campaign.

Perhaps the 3 total hours of media coverage on network TV had something to do with this??? WHy don't they discuss the fact that if no one SAW the convention (since shows like 'trading spouses' were more important than democracy) it then follows that a big bounce would be impossible?

1. Ive said this before but
maybe Im off track. I think the lack of bounce, or that appearance, actually works to our benefit. It might just motivate more of us to get everyone we know to the polls. If we had a 10 point lead, I think we might become complacent or over confident and wouldnt do everything we could do to bring people to the polls.

Maybe Im wrong and maybe Im making more of it than I should but I think DU is a great place to come and energize ourselves. As long as we are honest about where we are at and what we need to do, we should be able to take THIS energy from cyberspace to our local communities.

Vote early, vote often :)

2. There was a bounce, however small, but the Repugs
succeeded in the over-expectation game. Therefore, Kerry's bounce didn't make it. No mention of the fact that Kerry is still ahead by any objective measure.

3. That's bullshit about the Repukes and their over-expectations
SO many repukes were like "Kerry's gonna get a 10-15 point bounce"

I didn't think that but now that he only got a slim one depending on what polls you look at they're like--

"Kerry, got no bounce, haha"

Hypocrisy.
