What kind of elitist are you?
Good news, now you can find out!

http://www.quizilla.com/quizzes/279883/what-kind-of-elitist-are-you

I scored as a wine and food elitist. What can I say, I love to cook and more importantly, to eat!

Have a little fun today and post your results. :)

1. Politics and Culture Guru
From Timbuktu to Tijuana, you know all about world culture and politics. You've seen it all, and what you haven't seen, you watched on one of the "smart people channels." Your friends tell you that you should run for governor.
What people love: You've always got a great story to tell.
What people hate: You make them feel like ignorant plebians. Sometimes you slip and CALL them plebians.

So, do you play the "obo" ? :)

Your CD collection is almost as big as your ego, and you can most likely play an instrument or three. You're a real hit at parties, but you're SO above karaoke.
What people love: You're instant entertainment. Unless you play the obo.
What people hate: Your tendency to sing louder than the radio and compare everything to a freaking song.

33. No, oboe, here. And not only that.....
Hell, I doubt that I own even 5 CDs. I only can put my hands on a couple of them and rarely listen to (recorded) music, anyway.

And I never sing louder than the radio, because I neither own one or would I listen to one (except for NPR, while riding in a car)..

With the words "Music Provenu" on it (whatever that means).

And this summary:

16. Book and language snob
You speak eloquently and have seemingly read every book ever published. You are a fountain of endless (sometimes useless) knowledge, and never fail to impress at a party.
What people love: You can answer almost any question people ask, and have thus been nicknamed Jeeves.
What people hate: You constantly correct their grammar and insult their paperbacks.

Well, not quite. I do not correct grammar - unless it's my childrens' or husband's (at home). I'm not a great trivia expert, either. I *do* cringe at bad grammar or non-words like supposibly or anyways. But I cringe quietly to myself.

My problem is that I could have easily chosen many of the answers. I'm not a food snob at all (give me a good pizza, and I'm a happy woman), but I love good books, good music, good art, good conversation. People who "aren't into politics" confuse me. People who know more about Britney than what's happening in the world puzzle me.

I'm a sucker for intelligence and a sense of humor. Creativity gets big points, too - or at least the ability to appreciate it.

21. I didn't post the full description on the one I got, so here it is :)

You know which wines go best with which foods, and you can make New York City's finest sommelier feel like a kid at a keg party. You wanna take that Emeril guy and beat him with a stick, but really - you've got more class than that.
What people love: You know the best restaurants and what their specialties are.
What people hate: Every waiter in town wants to mangle your pretentious ass.

Unfortunately, none of the descriptions really are true for me since I usually cook and eat at home.

I thought for sure I was an elitist! I'm from the west coast, drive 20 miles across town to get my coffee, ate Latin Fusion cuisine Saturday night, and kinda feel upity towards Texans.

But almost nothing in that test bothered me in the least.
