John Denver was a liberal, not a racist, but he liked W VA.

John Denver is a prime example that not everyone from West Virginia is racist or conservative in their politics.

There are still SOME West Virginians that are voting for Obama. ;)

11. And lots good Democrats in WVA will vote for Clinton
Characterizing Clinton voters as racist has to be the worst load of crap I've seen in any Dem Primary in my lifetime.

19. Easy now!
Just a bad joke, sorry! I never said Clinton supporters were racist, only that Obama supporters were not.

Actually it was more a reference to the Republicans, note that I mentioned "conservative". Both you and I know Hillary Clinton is not racist OR "conservative".

5. I can fix that.
Muskrat, muskrat candlelight
Doin the town and doin it right
In the evenin
Its pretty pleasin

Muskrat susie, muskrat sam
Do the jitterbug out in muskrat land
And they shimmy
And sammys so skinny

And they whirled and they twirled and they tangoed
Singin and jingin the jango
Floatin like the heavens above
It looks like muskrat love

Nibbling on bacon, chewin on cheese
Sammy says to susie honey, would you please be my missus?
And she say yes
With her kisses

And now hes ticklin her fancy
Rubbin her toes
Muzzle to muzzle, now anything goes
As they wriggle, and sue starts to giggle

And they whirled and they twirled and they tangoed
Singin and jingin the jango
Floatin like the heavens above
It looks like muskrat love

La da da da da ...

I admit, in posting that I infected myself.

I caught my self thinking, 'Feels like Muskrat Loooo-ooooo-oooo-oo-ove!' a little while ago.

I had to go listen to the new Nine Inch Nails record (available for FREE at http://nin.com!) to cleanse it out of my brain.

Damn me.

30. Ha! I not only can top that, I can tie it to the original post!
Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
gonna grab some afternoon delight.
My motto's always been; when it's right, it's right.
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night.
When everything's a little clearer in the light of day.
And you know the night is always gonna be there any way.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite
looking forward to a little afternoon delight.
Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ignite
and the thought of rubbin' you is getting so exciting.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Started out this morning feeling so polite
I always though a fish could not be caught who wouldn't bite
But you've got some bait a waitin' and I think I might try nibbling
a little afternoon delight.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Please be waiting for me baby when I come around.
We could make a lot of lovin' 'for the sun goes down.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Repeat chorus.

That's right! Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band, half of which was composed of Bill and Taffy Danoff. They had previously been the duo Fat City, and co-wrote "Take Me Home, Country Roads" with John Denver.

You ain't never gonna get this sucker out of your head! (BTW, Afternoon Delight was inspired by an item on the menu at Clyde's in Georgetown.)

10. The best concert I ever went to was John Denver's.
His voice was really incredible. I hadn't expected it to be that clear and strong. It filled the civic center and gave me chills. I wasn't really a big John Denver fan before that, but after I heard him sing "Calypso" I bought alot of his music. It's a shame he's gone.

12. Come August in Denver - Rocky Mt High
Colorado - Rocky Mt. High...Colorado

He was born in the summer of his 27th year
Comin home to a place hed never been before
He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again
You might say he found a key for every door

When he first came to the mountains his life was far away
On the road and hangin by a song
But the strings already broken and he doesnt really care
It keeps changin fast and it dont last for long

But the colorado rocky mountain high
Ive seen it rainin fire in the sky
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye
Rocky mountain high (high colorado) rocky mountain high (high colorado)

He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below
He saw everything as far as you can see
And they say he got crazy once, and he tried to touch the sun
And he lost a friend but kept his memory

Now he walks in quiet solitude the forests and the streams
Seeking grace in every step he takes
His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake

And the colorado rocky mountain high
Ive seen it rainin fire in the sky
You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply
Rocky mountain high (high colorado) rocky mountain high (high colorado)

Now his life is full of wonder but his heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend
Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land

And the colorado rocky mountain high
Ive seen it rainin fire in the sky
I know hed be a poorer man if he never saw an eagle fly
Rocky mountain high

Its a colorado rocky mountain high
Ive seen it rainin fire in the sky
Friends around the campfire and everybodys high
Rocky mountain high (high colorado) rocky mountain high (high colorado)
Rocky mountain high (high colorado) rocky mountain high do de do

13. Just replace it with another the-country-life-is-better song. Try this:
Colorado Rocky Mountain High
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye
Rocky mountain high....

No need to thank me. :P
