Obama is Allowing Clinton to Have this Victory
I believe (according to an article posted on DU) that Obama has the number of Supers now to clinch the nomination. I believe Obama will allow this to go to Oregon/Kentucky mostly because he didn't want to be embarrased by being the nominee and losing by a lot in two very conservative states. After all, Clinton did reveal that her people and his were talking behind the scenes. This is mostly a beauty contest...but Obama will let it play out.

Look at the numbers..

College Graduates: Clinton 57%, Obama 40%

Postgraduates: Clinton 49%, Obama 49%

Independents (16%): Hillary 54%, Obama 32%

Liberals (35%): Hillary 66%, Obama 33%

6. Hillary was gracious to coontinue through these last states even
though it cost her a considerable amount of her own money. She was a good Democrat to stay in the race through these states as it would have been humiliating for Obama had she dropped out and she won these last states by a large margin. That would have been a great campaign ad for McCain.

11. How would you have explained Obama losing without an
opponenet.

Oh-racism. Yeah, I forgot.

If he becomes president we are going to have to get used to that excuse for every failure or disappointment.

13. If she had withdrawn, there would not have been a CAMPAIGN ...
He probably would have won because he WAS the presumptive nominee.
The only reason McLame lost contests was because Huckabee DIDN'T
get out.

It would have looked very bad for Obama to continue as the Chosen One while losing a string of states to someone who was no longer in the race.

I believe he's going to cash in the imminent big Oregon victory (he's up 17 points) and his giant wad of superdelegates to reach 2,025 and yell "Yahtzee!" :D

21. Reminder tonight: As Time for Change posted Sunday, Bill Clinton never won the white vote.
And finally, it should be noted that Bill Clinton never won the white vote in a presidential election, receiving less white votes in 1992 than George Bush Sr. and less white votes in 1996 than Bob Dole, with only 39% of the white vote in both elections. As a matter of fact, the last time a Democratic candidate for President won the white vote was 1964, 44 years ago. Has any Democrat ever complained that Bill Clinton’s failure to carry the white vote made him “unelectable”?

All I ask is that Obama make more of an effort in Kentucky. I think this looks bad at not even trying in WV. Regardless of the futility it looks right now a 2 to 1 rout. As long as Hillary is in he still needs to close the gap if not win.
