It's Become Obvious...Clinton is trying to Force Her Way on the Ticket Now
That's the only point in all of this hoopla as if she just won a HUGE victory that actually means something. She's become like this annoying, delusional knat. And I agree with David Z. who mentioned Clinton and their going after their own Silent Minority now...pitting White against Black and whatnot. This is exactly why I don't want her or her husband anywhere near the ticket...they're like poison. I just hope the SD flow doesn't stop...I still feel Obama is allowing this to happen. He has enough Supers supporting him privately that can win him the nomination, and he will soon enough. Let her have her meaningless glory Obama supporters...we all know how it'll end regardless.

1. It's better Hillary still campaigns....
She is on the ballot in the remaining states. If she were to win WV or KY while the race is over, this would be more of an embarrassment for Obama. As it is, it is a result of a valiant but insurmountable fight.

2. If he's the nominee it will end with McCain handing him his ass in November.

Clinton could win, and is trying to. To say she's trying to force her way onto the ticket is silly. Obama is trying to win, too, in case you haven't noticed.

4. ABC poll has Obama winning McCain by more than Hillary
so both could win in November. Clinton is not more likely to do so.

22. The party chooses the nominee in August, despite your dictates
Haven't you looked into the history of conventions? They're circuses, great TV, The Show.

She's not folding. Deal.

12. Oh Yeah?? Obama lost because he didn't campaign in WV
Or at least that is what the dude (ANALyst or whatever) is telling on CNN. Why did you guys stop him from campaigning in WV? Because if he did, he would have lost even bigger. He had an excuse for Michigan and Florida, but WV... I can't find an excuse, other than he knew he had a snowball's chance in hell of even coming close in WV.

LOL.. BO is DOA when it comes to GE.

29. There is no such thing as Loyalty
Edited on Tue May-13-08 09:35 PM by TexanIndian
Has never been in a long time. It is a matter of value proposition - do I believe that a given candidate shares the same values that are near and dear to my heart or not, generally speaking, of course.

It is obvious that a significant base of Democrats feel otherwise about BO. He can be the nominee all he wants, but he is not going to gain the support of this base unless he makes an attempt to speak to this base. Skipping WV totally or trying to pose for the camera with lapel pins that only have 50 states - instead of all the 57 :-) - is not really speaking to this base is it?

It's up to you to talk Clinton down so she doesn't hurt his chances in the GE.

I know I know, but so long as they stuff a sock in McAwful's mouth and the entire leadership of her campaign get shown the door, it could work.

26. "I still feel Obama is allowing this to happen" ???
he has not the slightest control over events.

it is the MEDIA that is keeping this race alive

they could have 'declared' this race over AGES ago

and will, unless something dramatic happens, maintain this charade until the convention, all the while sowing internal dissent in the democratic party, which has been the plan all along. what is astounding is how easily this has been accomplished.
