Measuring the antipathy here towards mrs clinton

are people so disguted with mrs clinton that when she finally packs it in you will actively work against her in new york? my guess is she would run for another term in the senate and i wonder if all the folks who supported her in the past would again, or if they just grown so weary of her that they just want them to go away.

personally i think she is a good senator but i am so disgusted with her and her campaign that i am tempted to say i want to see her completely and utterly defeated.

they would challenge her re-election; she's been a pretty darn solid Senator for them.

I would enjoy nothing more than for Bill and Hillary Clinton to return to NY and FADE from the National Political Scene.

Now, I will have to admit, her rhetoric tonight was not cutting Obama down. I think she has seen the reality in the past week, and knows she won't be the nominee. I think better of her than she has performed, and I think she will regress to that mean.

No Democrat has ever before run like a Republican against a fellow Democrat as she has run against Barack. If she decides to go out UGLY, I will pony up $$$ myself for a primary challenge in NY as my commentary on the ugly, divisive campaign she has run.

If she runs a solid campaign and doesn't use wedge issues inside her own party AGAIN, I won't be so inclined to donate to such a challenger, but if she does, her challenger will get some cash from Missouri.

If Obama wins the GE she wont have a need to continue using the NY Senate seat as a springboard to the Presidency as she probably wouldnt want to face an incumbent up for reelection in 2012.

If Obama loses the GE she would likely try again for the Presidency in 2012, and she still wont need to run for another term that expires at the same time.

She probably wont run again no matter what.

she wants to take another stab at it, and if she is not in the senate she will fade into obscurity.

If yes, I stand by my prior post (she will be too old in 2016 for another try if Obama was reelected in 2012).

If not, she may need to run one more time, but no more than that.

I don't see her winning another term in NY for many reasons.

Mainly, embarrassment doesn't go over well.

There's not a country on earth that would not be BLUDGEONED in the world press for holding "elections" under these circumstances and claiming legitimacy. This is the disgusting, depraved horse pucky that Hillarity stands behind.

But from a NYC person who was beyond enraged by her using "my city" (it ain't Hill's city. Not even close) as a prop in her hate speech-

1) you would have to present a viable primary candidate to oppose her and

2) honestly, she's probably a pretty effective senator who has done a reasonable job representing our interests.

So speaking as one who DESPISES her, I'd probably still hold my nose and say what the heck.

She can be a great, and yes I mean GREAT, Senator if she decides to focus on that. I hope she has a long and productive career in the Senate. She needs to realize she will never be President. Tough but true. I bet she doesn't have it in her. Hope I'm wrong.
