Just like here at DU. You and I know most DUers are decent, generous people. This thing has just gone on too long and worn people down. And, I don't mean that HRC should have dropped out sooner (although I might think so myself). What I mean is, the UGLY has gone on too long.

"I want to take a minute to say a word about my friend and your friend, Senator Hillary Clinton". That was very rude and classless,IMO. Yes, this process has gone on much too long. But that's no excuse to drown out the speaker with boos when he mentions Sen. Clinton's name. NOT COOL. And NOT a good way to bring Dems together to support Obama. Those assembled Obama supporters need to really listen to what John Edwards said and to observe the CLASS and GRACE he showed his speech.

28. I don't see how these continued claims of one side doing something
the other isn't also doing really work.

My only point was, everybody is tired. And it's unrealistic to ask one half of a bunch of tired people to do better than the other half of a bunch of tired people. That's all.

She earned those boo's, and I hope she enjoyed them.

79. Heya sis. Obama/Edwards chose Grand-Rapids Michigan to announce
As they hadn't been there during the primaries.

c-span said they they will replay it later tonight. They didn't say what time.

Money line from Edwards was (paraphrased), "the democrats of this country have made their choice... and so have I".

His 20 minute speech was 20% pro Hillary and 80% pro Obama -- no millworker reference, but James Lowe invocation.

I :loveya: some JRE. Obama has my head -- John has my heart. I am a sucker for the fist-shaking populist though.

88. I take the blame as I didn't express myself well
at all.

I am not applauding this -- it concerns me that we are so divided.

McWar is a MUCH bigger problem to us, but we are infighting. :(

97. Are you talking about Randi Rhodes?
Randi Rhodes (if that's who you're talking about), wasn't at an official Obama event when she made her comments. The Obama campaign has no control over Ms. Rhodes or anything she says or does, on or off the air. OTOH, the woman in the photo is at a Clinton rally. That she was able to stand there with that sign speaks volumes about the Clinton campaign and its supporters.

106. I am not blaming the campaign
I am blaming the people on du who think this is perfectly acceptable. I don't blame campaigns for what a few supporters do, as some do around here anytime a Clinton supporter does something distasteful. For instance, I know of a obama supporter, who maxed to his campaign, who I have on very good evidence raped two women in college (one of them a good friend of mine, the other a former girlfriend of mine. And I knew this before the campaign.) Does this mean that the campaign supports rape? Of course not. That would be absurd. But if you want to make the connection, it goes both ways. see how ridiculous it can get?

99. BTW, are you saying you think that photo is only mildly offensive?
I sincerely doubt the woman was being ironic or witty when she drew that poster and held it up proudly at a rally.

41. They're at a political rally. Of COURSE they're going to do that.
To their credit, they came around (and more credit to Edwards for that), cheered for Hillary, and it was a wonderful moment.

a Hillary crowd wouldn't boo Obama?? Because if some of the soreheads around here spewing venom about Edwards endorsement are any example I would bet there would be plenty of booing. :-(
