Bush* is Stalking Kerry She said that was what Kerry Spokespeople were saying. They said it was just too much of a coincidence that he shows up in every town across America at the exact same time as Kerry. Especially since Kerry's schedule was made up weeks ago. They are both showing up in Portland Oregon today.

9. Actually, the Portland events are on Friday
I won't be in town, unfortunately, but I'll bet there will be a HUGE crowd for Kerry. This is Kerry country. I doubt you'd find a place in the country that hates Bush more than Portland.

12. Campaign equivilent of Gore standing next to Bush at debate
Gore was told to try to stand next to Bush at the debate so the people could see how much bigger he was. Gore did it during one of Bush's responses, and it came across incredibly creepy. I yelled at the tv "what are you doing???"

I suppose someone told Bush to campaign alongside to draw comparisons with the turnout, tone, etc.

Just comes across as creepy.

13. my take on the bush strategy
when your product is much less well known than your competitors, it's a good idea to show both products side-by-side ... it sort of makes you the "un-cola" ... so you show a big old picture of a "fred's" hamburger right next to a big mac and tell people to choose ... it sort of shows your product as "the other choice" ... it implies a 50-50 split in the market even though your product is much less prominent ...

listen to all the republican hucksters ... they aren't out there saying bush is ahead ... the current strategy is to "duck and cover" ... they say things like "the polls don't mean a thing ... it's very, very close ... the debates will determine the outcome" ... they are trying to make sure that Kerry doesn't build up too much steam right now ... they are very worried about the bandwagon effect ... the hope is that "something will happen" later to change the momentum ...

the strategy is to slow Kerry down ... call it nip and tuck ... and pray for a tragedy ... or make one ... so, if bush is appearing wherever kerry is appearing, it's because they know bush has lost momentum ... he's like a fred-burger ... he's hanging around as a close second looking for an opportunity to exploit an event ...

They got no real ammo left...used it all up months ago. Freedom this and Freedom that. Now look, the Freedom Toast/Fries they were laughing about 1 year ago....comes back to haunt them...and they still don't learn. If we that pissed off with the "Frogs", send back the Statue of Liberty....

Of course that won't happen cause coomon sense will prevail...

16. I noticed this last week
and pointed out that I had to make a decision whether to go to the Kerry rally or protest Bush-

Smart move on the Bush campaign's part, especially with respect to Portland.

17. Kerry pulls larger crowds
If you look at the numbers of people showing up at the rallies, Kerry crowds are many thousands, some 20 - 30 thousand. Bush is pulling a few hundred to a few thousand people at his rallies. Also, Kerry allows all people in to his rallies, protesters and all, Bush you have to sign an affidavit that you love Dicky or as my youngest daugher niknamed him Mr Icky!
