There's always been Sexism on Open Forums on Internet...Chat Rooms, Yahoo

and on Democrtic Underground.

Through the years many feminists, (not all were of the Feminazi Folks that Limbaugh and some here today want taint Feministswith) have noticed that Women often "eat their own," when forced to choose sides between being one of the "boys or one of the ungendered."

We Females are in a transition. Many of us are not total supporters of what the "Feminist Movement" has become since the 1980's where the "Movement" got off track into other issues rather than advancing Women's rights to bodily freedoms, health care for our issues and our children's issues. The "Movement" seemed to get bogged down and into fights over political issues rather than focusing on the "core" that holds all women..gay, straight, black, white or whatever together.

There were breaks in that some of us went off track thinking like Tipper Gore that some music needed to be labeled so that parents could decide what they though was appropriate for their very young children. There were so many on the Left who rose up in anger...crying that this was her and other "old hatchet ladies" way of getting rid of their music...and it could apply to women (mothers) today who worry about the violent video games being sold to our kids...who allow participation in death, destruction, war and abuse of females along with fellow humans.

The "Women's Movement" never could get together with the Southern and Religious Women who had grave concerns about WHAT their CHILDREN WERE WATCHING.... So a split came about over "family values issues" more dear to hearts of some women and "gender issues" more appealing to the "Urban, Sophisticated Women's Lifestyles."

Enough about that...but what I've seen here on DU has revealed this huge split in "Women's Issues" and how "Men View Women's Issues" and some of it comes down to the fact that some vocal on both sides just hate Hillary Clinton and they would HATE Tipper Gore if she ran...and they will "hate" Michelle Obama if Obama becomes President.

We Women need to get back to "Basics" and start to think about what affects us with Big Pharma after our Bodies, the Culture of Mainstream Corporate Media which "Dumbs Down" our kids and the lifestyle that makes "Parents" irrelevant in today's "Consumer Culture" where kids expect to be entertained "23/7" and if their parents can't afford it...they look up to the parents who can drive the Big Car with the Double Screen TV and the DVD's that make road trips look like flights down to Disney World where "ENTERTAINMENT" is always ONBOARD.

We gotta RETHINK how we raise our kids...what the role of each parent is...and what we can teach our kids about being "Good Stewards" of their Earth and making Government work for ALL OF US...and not just Wall St. and Big Business.

I think that the "backlash against Hillary as a Female" should play into this.. Even though she is a flawed candidate...I do believe she cares about Kids and Females and Health Care. Her daughter seems to have not turned out like the drunken Bush Twins even with her father's "Monica Thing" ...so it would seem the Clinton's family might be disfunctional in the Oval Office but it didn't show up on Chelsea like the "Perfect "Born Again Chimp" and his "Stepford Wife" who raised two hellions. But, then that might all come down to "genetic makeup" between the Bush Family contrasted with the Clinton, Rodhams.

Anyway...the trashing of Hillary is SEXIST and anti-female. I've voted for Obama but been totally disturbed by how Hillary as a Female has been trashed by folks here and those she worked so hard to support all those years in the "Women's Movement."

But, as I said, Women tend to Eat their Own....it's a Primal instinct we haven't quite overcome yet. And, maybe that, in itself sounds "sexist or backward thinking" but in the business world and out there in the community, I've found this to be true. That Women are much faster to trash their own if there's competition...than to be the last one standing in a "popularity contest."

It's something we Females need to work on to improve.....
