Why is she going on with this if it isn't to ruin his chances.

5. I agree on the power...
...money is not the Clinton's thing...but she does have to say this kind of @#$# if she wants to keep her donors and SD's on her side.

Bill just has to make a few speeches to recoup whatever they have loaned the campaign.

22. When all is said and done...
Edited on Tue May-20-08 08:58 PM by liberalcommontater
Obama will probably be the nominee, he will probably win in Nov and Hillary will ask every single person who voted for her to vote for him. Some of us will look back on this and see that she ran for all she was worth. While there was any chance to pull out a win based on delegates, super delegates, the electoral map, the popular vote, whatever, she made a play for it. Why even run for president if you give up when you still have even a slim chance?

Relax.

I'm a Clinton supporter and I feel fine.

My mantra is Win In November.

Its the popular votes that count, unless you're planning to lose the GE?

37. I think you need to retake the "electoral college" part of high school government class
It is NOT popular votes that count, but the electoral college votes that count! Some peoples' votes count more than others unfortunately in that measure... Now we can fix that later, but that is what counts.

And that isn't what is being discussed now. Obama now has the democratic vote majority for the party nomination. Deal with it!

38. Obama is losing the electoral college vote
which, by the way, is based on the popular vote in a state, not on primary delegates or superdelegates.

Its a little more difficult to rig those and the GOP is waaay better at it than Obama.

41. Then you need to retake the Primary vs. General election class...
We are talking about the Primary election now, NOT the General Election.

Obama and Clinton have NOT yet had any votes cast for them that has to do anything with the electoral college. That is later!

So, how would you count the "electoral college" votes for Puerto Rico in your world. Answer? You wouldn't. Their vote doesn't count in the general election!

So, tell me how whatever it is is "more difficult to rig"?

Actually the voters that Hillary's group wants to disenfranchise to steal the election (the caucus states) have the BEST system of voting to avoid it being "rigged"! NO voting machines at all!

43. No, we're talking about the General Election
Because that is the election this year that matters most.

Obama supporters are losing credibility by pretending the GE doesn't exist or isn't imporant.

49. I think it is YOU who are pretending to know what is going to happen in the GE...
People collectively all participate in a process to vote on who they feel is best equipped to run in that GE. That has happened, and most people feel Obama is that person. Whether Obama or Hillary is "better" in the GE is YOUR conjecture at this point. But most people WANT Obama to represent them and are willing to risk putting him in the GE to try and win it. I think most of us are aware of the stakes.

Putting someone in that is a Republican-Lite against our wishes just to "win" (whatever we get from that if this person works with corporations against our wishes) is like surrendering before one starts the race. That doesn't do anything for us!

This is the primary, which is a race for DELEGATES.

And the popular vote doesn't count in the GE, either. Ask President Gore.

some of my male friends are starting to say things that I find offensive (There's no crying in politics, Of course she wants to change the rules, they get to do the easy push-ups too...etc, etc, ad nauseum), she is setting the women's movement back by insisting that everything isn't "fair", she's being picked on etc. I hate math too, but one thing is for sure, there are no grey areas.....
