Obama gets at least 8 delegates from KY.
Clinton gets at least 28, with 15 still
at stake.

There are 52 pledged delegates going in
Oregon.

So neither candidate is going to take it
all the way home tonight.

Tomorrow we'll have to see if the super
delegates start declaring more.

This is excruciating. Link here:

1. MSNBC Estimates 17-18 after all is done... Enough to put Obama over 50+1
Despite Hillary's habit of lying - 2210 is NOT required by the rules in place when the race began (which I'll note has not been adjusted - outside of the exception to add/subtract elected officials as they come in/out of office).

KY will actually be the state to put Obama over the top in PDs.

2. how?
I need someone to explain the numbers to me.

I'll be happy if Obama could just put it away.

3. He will have won more than 50% of the Pledged Delegates
According to the Rules - not HillMath or HillRules, but the actual DNC rules that she and Obama signed.

It's a milestone moment in the Obama Campaign. She officially has no chance of winning the greater % the Pledge Delegates. Which also means that obama will be the nominee, barring some unlikely disaster.

4. Obama needs only 29% of KY to get the 15 delegates he needs to clinch
If he doesn't do it there, he'll certainly do it OR!

5. CNN now says Obama has 12 delegates... With that he just clinched the pledged delegate majority!
Edited on Tue May-20-08 08:20 PM by calipendence
He now has 1623.5 votes locked up. She can get at most 1621.5 even if she wins every pledged delegate from here on out. Check the Slate delegate counter as I note in this other thread:

6. Unlike WV, Obama has actually won in 2 counties
and maybe a 3rd will be forthcoming. It's not the total wash that WV was.

7. You forgot Oregon.
That's when Obama clinches the pledged delegate lead. Tonight.

Hillary's toast.
