3. Ford is a Hillary supporter. Scarborough, a Republican, wants Hillary to win.
As does Pat Buchanan.

When you are a political junkie like I am, you learn the cast of characters and where they are coming from.

as Obama can't seem to find us this trip. Instead I have to drive to central FL just to see him tomorrow. We feel left out here.

17. He will visit more places when he is given the time to do so. He is trying to win the nomination
now. Once he is the nominee, I believe he will spend more time in more places. This is why we need unity and a nominee as soon as possible so that he can spend more time in more places.

so I am supporting him AND not feeling left out. Oh, and I used 250.00 of my government rebate check to do so, so I guess I can stop complaining about the money, huh?

Neither did Clinton. And I'll bet anything he won't come here as the nominee. Can't say it troubles me.

But, honestly, yes, I do care. Kerry has been here. Hillary has been here. McCain has been here. And, Bush has been here....21 times since becoming President.....so, I think Obama can find us if he wants to.

but there was NO WAY a middle aged person could stand in line that long to get in. (both physically standing that long, plus not being able to go to the bathroom for that many hours. No way!)

His speech was supposed to start at 1:00 p.m. I was going to go, until I saw on the news that morning that there was already a long line by 7:00am. THOUSANDS were turned away at the door, unable to get in before the speech started. (They close the doors once he starts speaking.)

Shoots.:-(

11. haha i know what you're saying.,.
It's interesting that Ford was gung-ho on ending this campaign battle a month ago, and appeared to be supportive of Obama (at least in his tv appearances). He probably got some push back from the DLC and readjusted his tune to fit their wishes.

36. I was disappointed that the only Dem challenger who lost happened to be black.
I thought it said something shameful about the constituency. He was a conservative Democrat running in a conservative area, and looked like a good fit for his district.

18. lol
Joe's analysis was...."You didn't lose AS BADLY as Obama did, because the night before the primary, you were at a bar with your sleeves rolled up and a camouflage hat on!"

Chris was asking Harold about people who admit that they DO vote on race, and Harold said "Well...let me just ignore the question and ask about why Obama is an elitist and why he is not connecting with these voters!"

23. That was my point Erin...here is a dem teaming up with a repub against the likely dem nominee
it was obvious he wasn't asking the question to help Obama, he was asking it to point out his agreement with Obama's "weakness". I think it's shameful. Plus Ford has the personality of a tree stump. I wish msnbc could find another dem analyst. Wasnt Ford an employee of Fox recently?

30. I doubt he can connect with some voters at all...case in point...today
my husband came home from work to have lunch and he told me that he told the guy he works with that his wife is going to see Obama tomorrow and the guy said, "I won't ever vote for any ...and he used the vulgar word." Racism is alive and well in some parts of the country. This is in NE Florida. And, this was in a Catholic school.....

38. Democrats can't win the white working class, and it's not their fault.
It's the fault of the white working class for voting against their own economic interest, and the GOP has been genius at exploiting their hot buttons.

Also, it's annoying to me that nobody in our stupid media ever mentions the Ross Perot Effect on both of Bill Clinton's victories in 92 and 96, especially in, say, Kentucky. :eyes:

43. Oh, totally. Absolutely.
And this election is unlike any other. And I feel absolutely confident about our chances in November, so long as the strategy is to tie McCain to Bush, to make him "McSame," to say that McCain represents the "wrong track" number that 82% of Americans seem to think we're on.

But it's important to mention in any election year that all Democratic presidential candidates have problems with the poor, rural whites. Mark Penn would call that a "microtrend." :-)
