3. Was it thrilling? Was it THRILLING?
Indeed, LC, it was.

I almost talked myself out of going at the last minute (had to be at work in Phoenix Monday AM), but I went and had a blast.

Had a fabulous time, even when with ZombyWoof  (and he didn't scare my kid in the least!).

Anything that can get me screaming, stomping, and crying for the promise of the nationat 11PM, well, yeah, it was thrilling!

Zomby glad you and some of the other DK supporters realize that the guy is a good guy, he'll make a good president, and he does respect us and our dreams.

12. why should we have to defend our nominee sigh
Edited on Mon Aug-09-04 10:22 PM by JohnKleeb
He's not a perfect man, but I know who Kerry is and I like him, I really think he cares about people, and I think that this rubbish that hes like Bush or whatever is nonsense. You know how "naive" I am, I think theres a big differance between Ike Shelton and George W Bush, btw he was the missourian speaker on day 4 of DNC.

7. I missed him when he came here
and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the large turnout, here in Christ's country...BushLand...where they key your car if you have a Dem bumpersticker on it.

Glad you guys got to go!

9. Flagstaff is reliably Dem
We're about 60-40 in the majority, MOE 5%. Only starts to get freakish on the rural outer edges, with the notable exception of the reservations. It's not as liberal as Seattle or San Francisco, but for a small town, it's as Kerry says, "close to heaven."

Another point, I'd like to bring up about purism, the same more moderate seeming dem that some may considered wishy washy moderate is what another wants as senator.

4. And I am sure that nobody there had to...
sign a loyalty oath like they did here in New Mexico when Chaney dropped in. This administration gets scarier and scarier every day. :hippie:

because "most of the skewering was directed at Bush*"

It's long, detailed and you will love it!

Except the numbers are low - of course. The AZ Repulsive, with much chagrin, admitted to 12,000 this AM. So it's probably a couple thousand more.

That is incredible in northern Arizona - especially considering it was at 11:00 PM on a Sunday night.

Kerry is really taking off. BushCo cannot beat him.

'Police made some arrests of ... people who make it a point to upset public functions'

In other words, freepers, lol...

17. one arrest occurred behind me
It was a drunken Nader-type. There were more of them than any freepers.

19. I'm just waiting to see if there are any Naderites in Portland on Friday
I'm going to ask them why they decided to turn to the dark side.

18. Actually, NO. The ones I saw removed (I don't know if they were
arrested) were Ivory Snow pseudo-performance-art types. I have seen them frequently at political gatherings and they are merely annoying; freepers would have incited real trouble.

Maybe they could get senses of humor and new costumes; then I'll care.
