Maybe I'm a little slow here, but it occurs to me why Kerry and company aren't doing much to combat this ad.

The press is doing it for them.

Since last night, I have watched three different reports basically pointing out all the problems with the ad. Now, we know it's all lies and I'm sure those smart people working in the newsrooms know it's lies as well. Since the reports are usually not long enough to go into all the details, they do it just enough to bring the point home.

They mention the financing, the men on the commercials at how they didn't serve with Kerry, John McCain and how it connects back to Bush (some lady who speaks for them who's married to a shrub buddy)

I watch a lot of news, but there's a lot I don't watch either. Logic suggests that it's probably been a topic of discussion on other networks that I don't watch. I get six channels which are nothing but news all the time. I watch two of those for the most part.

Shouldn't we bless that 'liberal' press for helping Kerry so much?
