Chuck Hagel as VP? Perhaps you might consider THIS...
Edited on Wed May-21-08 01:43 AM by WA98296
He is a jerk....

"The respected Washington, DC publication The Hill (www.thehill.com/news/012903/hagel.aspx) has confirmed that former conservative radio talk-show host and now Republican U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel was the head of, and continues to own part interest in, the company that owns the company that installed, programmed, and largely ran the voting machines that were used by most of the citizens of Nebraska.

Back when Hagel first ran there for the U.S. Senate in 1996, his company's computer-controlled voting machines showed he'd won stunning upsets in both the primaries and the general election. The Washington Post (1/13/1997) said Hagel's "Senate victory against an incumbent Democratic governor was the major Republican upset in the November election." According to Bev Harris of www.blackboxvoting.org, Hagel won virtually every demographic group, including many largely Black communities that had never before voted Republican. Hagel was the first Republican in 24 years to win a Senate seat in Nebraska."

1. Well, this would mean that the election would be in the bag.
Obama wouldn't even have to campaign!

4. As WHOSE VP? McCain wouldn't have him. They're at odds about national security.
And if you think he's a good fit on any D ticket, that's just insane.

With or without Bev Harris's assertions--which she wasn't able to PROVE, but never mind that.

No proof? You're just flapping your jaw.

6. Everytime Lieberman opens his fat mouth, Hagel should respond.
That would be really funny to watch.

8. Well, I'd be surprised to see him on any ticket in the fall. You never know, though.
Stranger things have happened. I never saw "Vice President Quayle" coming....

10. The whole point is that with the voting machines YOU CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING!
So it's meaningless to say that you can't prove that somebody won or lost because of the voting machines as an argument that the machines may not have been rigged.

7. We all need to consider THIS:
It's not up to us. We have no say in this.

9. Also note how unusually, bizarrely RED Nebraska is compared to counties JUST OVER the state LINE
Look at the Bush-Gore and Bush-Kerry election maps that shade for percentage of the vote.

National maps that shade for percentage vote totals show other OMINOUS FUCKING SIGNS,

especially in states like MISSOURI (vs. Iowa) and KENTUCKY (vs. Tennessee).

But EVERYONE IGNORES THESE OBVIOUS SIGNS where RURAL people are voting completely
OPPOSITE to one another depending on what side of an artificial state line they are
living on.

They seem to think state lines have some mystical quality that determines demographic or
geographic or language differences that would account for such sharply divided loyalties
between rural county #A on the north side of the line and rural county #B on the other side.

Occams Razor: The MACHINE that defined the boundaries of the entity in question
(the state government) is influencing the counting of the vote.

11. NO, he is not
these are unproved speculations that are inconsistent with everything else that can be known about Hagel's character and way to operate. Look at whole damn picture, don't just focus on just one speculative outlier and make it the whole truth.

Incidentaly, the above has nothing to do with me agreeing or disagreeing about Hagel as VP, I really am not sure where I stand on that. It's simply against spewing insults at somebody who in all likelihood is a good man.

13. He'd certainly pull in the Omaha electoral vote
Nebraska is one of 2 states (Maine being the other) where electoral districts have been established, as opposed to the "winner take all" norm for other states. Actually, the eastern Nebraska disrict which comprises Omaha should be in play for the Dems this year, with or without Hagel on the ticket.
