600 million voters in Michigan according to Clinton surrogate on MSNBC
Edited on Wed May-21-08 02:16 AM by gmudem
Not sure what her name is but she just claimed that 600 million people voted in the Michigan primary. I don't even think anybody corrected her on it.

2. Yeah...
No offense, I'm an Obama supporter, but pointing that out is as dumb as someone pointing out his 57 state mistake.

4. Ok guy with 13 posts
Just thought it was funny. Obviously it was a mistake by the Clinton supporter, but it made me laugh.

13. Agreed
And despite the snarky remark about 13 posts... Welcome to DU.

I think we all had 13 posts at one time and your opinion is just as valid as someone with 13000. :toast:

All these folks have to be tired and if they screw up a number her or there, who cares.

Agreed...as if the number of posts a person has equates to wisdom and intelligence. We all know that definitely ISN'T the case.

Cement pizza? Like tomb stoned? For what? The only thing I can think of is my "Grandmother" post which might have been a BIT too far (I just get riled up easy).

6. She's with the Hillary camp, and she also made a sales pitch about the popular vote
Edited on Wed May-21-08 02:48 AM by rocknation
Until I saw this video and this Web page, I didn't realize how bogus the popular vote argument truly is. Some of the states had caucuses only, some of them had primaries AND caucuses, and the nations/territories that cannot vote in the GE certainly should not be included. As a metric, it's a COMPLETE fraud!

8. The territories count at the Convention
Obama agreed to those rules when he entered the race. Sorry for pointing out your stupidity.

9. I'm talking about their being included in Hillary's popular vote total, not the convention
Edited on Wed May-21-08 03:13 AM by rocknation
I'm sure the states that had caucuses only will count at the convention, too. But since they didn't even HAVE official popular vote counts, including them in her popular vote total is fraudulent, too.

22. Of course the caucuses aren't included in her popular vote fantasy
Edited on Wed May-21-08 06:22 PM by rocknation
in the case of four states, the popular vote totals don't even exist.

If all fifty states had primaries only, her argument would be only partially instead of minimally intelligible. But neither primaries nor caucuses are about popular vote, but about the delegates they generate.

16. and Clinton agreed
that Mi and Fl weren't to be counted, but she is using them in her calculations and discounting 4 caucus states.

Clinton has no regard for rules, Obama has played by them

With Hillary math you can pick whichever you like and total it up.

He was corrected on that, but not to his face lol. Note to self; Never appear on TV at an ungodly hour with people expecting me to be able to actually think. I think I can stick to that plan.
