Edited on Mon Aug-09-04 08:13 PM by ann_coulter_is_a_man
and if not, will the media call him on it?

or this?:

"I deeply resent the destruction of federalism represented by Hillary Clinton's willingness go into a state she doesn't even live in and pretend to represent people there, so I certainly wouldn't imitate it."
--Alan Keyes, 2000

and I the only one who, for some reason, seriously gets the creeps from the guy?

I know this is inane but I'm just trying to get out of the 700 club before Robertson spots me and wants to baptize me or wash my feet or whatever the hell he does. Now the big-haired blonde bimbo could work something out with me.

12. He addressed that on NPR this afternoon.
You see, Hillary looked at all 50 states and laid out her strategy as to which one she stood the best chance of winning, and that was New York.

Keys, on the OTHER hand, was ASKED by the People of Illinois to run against that big bad Barack Obama.

Oh, BTW, he pronounces Obama's name "Barrack" Like a place where soldiers sleep? Now, if he's as intelligent and as educated as he claims to be, why, unless he's throwing insults, can't he say Ba-RAWK?

And I think he's a little fast with the race card. He was asked about the "Race Issue", meaning i suppose, the contest between 2 black men. and he said something to the effect of "There is no 'Race issue' any more. No choice, unless you're a racist, and you're going to stay home because you have no-one to vote for..."

what a slime ball.

16. His interview on NPR today sounded like fiction.
Like an SNL skit or something. He sounded like some pompous Dickensian character on an audiobook!

No one could POSSIBLY be that hypocritical (or nonsensical ... and was he calling the interviewer ma'am or madam?) in real life!

14. He has no chance, take it from me...
NO ONE I know will vote for this man.

It didn't help him either to say something to the extent of "I don't know the cities, and I don't know the neighborhoods, but I'm willing to learn!" in reference to the state of illinois in his acceptance speech!

SAD TIMES! But hey, maybe he'll pay himself a salary again for running for office from his campaign contributions. Who said running for office can't be profitable?

The illinois republican party has been largely hijacked by crazy right wing conservatives, which is the main reason why a state which for 30 years was pretty solidly republican when it came to state elected offices is now almost all democratic.

19. keyes a threat?
I have been monitoring the IL Leader site and they are going to throw everything they can at Obama and have already started. Notice today the articles about live birth abortions and how Obama is "pro" same? IL Leader people are getting together Obama's record on this issue and they will sling every damn piece of mud at him they can. Keyes will say anything he has to and so will his biblebeater backers. I was arguing for several hours this weekend on Keyes's web site with these whackjob supporters of his. No matter how many times and ways you try to get them to logically discuss separation of church and state and why it is good or another issue, they will come back and call you a satanist. Keyes is for GOD. If you oppose Keyes, you are anti-god, therefore, pro satan. On SUnday, he called his campaign a "victory for God." SO if you vote for him, you vote for God. Drives me crazy. They won't talk about the environment, jobs, deficits, Iraq, etc. They want to talk about "killing of the unborn babies" and that's it. Imagine posters of fetuses and Barak's face with "babykiller" on it. These people will stop at nothing. They scare the heck out of me.

Meanwhile Obama is not responding...I fear he might end up like Max Cleland in his race with that moron who called him unpatriotic and he lost. These reactionary creeps hijacked the IL GOP! I would have been a lot happier if lyin' Jack! Ryan was still the candidate, at least the sex party stuff was funny and Obama could stay above it all. WIth the muck these biblebeaters throw, I am not laughing. Keyes is a 4 time loser, carpetbaggin, hypocrite, tax cheat piece of crap, but he is still very dangerous.

The "live-birth" abortion question? And just what would that be? People are more concerned with the economy and Iraq. If this guy is going to run just on being "God's man", I think he had better re-think his strategy. According to a poll mentioned on another Obama-Keyes thread, Keyes is already 40 points behind. It ain't happening.

to the "correct" right wing cause.

Yuck.
