so quit pretending there wasn't - or only one but not the other. The candidates themselves were actually pretty low-key, but boy has there been some outrageous shit seen and heard and attached to these campaigns.
And yes, Hillary benefited from some of the racist attacks. And it solidified Obama's base.
And yes, Obama benefited from some of the sexist attacks. And it solidified Hillary's base.
Neither candidate did much to stop them when they were directed at the opponent.
But the alternative would be to do what the MSM was baiting ALL dems to do in this primary. The bait that many of us have swallowed at one time or another - and this is to make this primary about race and/or gender. Doing that will just turn off voters, turn our candidates into tokens, and benefit neither of us.
So Obama supporters should chill about Hillary benefitting from racism, and Hillary supporters should chill about benefitting from sexism - and we should all direct our anger towards the Corporate Media who is eating this shit up.
