I honestly believe HRC is now an embarrassment...
The new round of talking points that come out at each media cycle, each pointing to more and more bizarre paths to the nomination of HRC. If you step back, it is really pretty humorous if the process hadn't robbed the Clinton name of its well-earned dignity.

I am an Obama supporter that took a break from this site after the NC/Indiana primaries. It was so clearly over, and people here kept fighting with each other. I came back thinking it was time to unite, but I guess not yet.

I watched Obama's speech last night. He is the next president. McCain doesn't stand a chance. As Hillary won KY in a rout, all the media could talk about was the delegate threshold passed by Obama. That's because they know it's over too...everyone does.

2. I agree. She is hurting herself at this point and no one will make her stop
Edited on Wed May-21-08 10:57 AM by RainDog
When reporters now talk about the primary -- the only thing they can say is -- well, she's lost, but she won't concede so I guess we're in uncharted territory.

The uncharted territory is a candidate who WON'T LEAVE EVEN THO SHE HAS LOST.

This is insane. I want to scream b/c if she tries to pull a Florida 2000, the democrats will lose. She will destroy a sure thing. THAT will be her legacy, that she tore apart the democratic party.

She would then be the most hated person in all of liberal America, and, of course, the darling of the right wing.

5. You and me both Sulawesi. I wish that she could "dig deep down" and do the noble thing...

but alas, both HRC and her husband have been permanently SPOILED by power and wealth for decades now. There's NO HOPE for their redemption ... NO HOPE for these two to place "others" (the democratic party and Americans in general) before their *sick and delusional* obsession for a 3rd and 4th term within the WH.

The superdelegates will have to figuratively apply "the hook" because neither HRC or her husband have a humble or gracious bone left in their bodies.

They are shameful and vile behaving ... HRC shames women and serves as a NEGATIVE role model (bitter, fighting, clingy) for young women everywhere. :(

9. I laughed last night watching Dan Abrams.. he rolled his eyes and let out a huge SIGH, then
leaned back in his chair and told Ron Reagan to deal with the Clinton Surrogate, who just couldn't seem to tell the TRUTH.

Dan finally started skipping her, saying he wanted to ask people questions who could tell the truth.

12. The "embarrassment" won 58% of the TOTAL (C+O) votes last night
while Mcgovern Obama picked up a mere 42%.

Some in the Main Stream Media ain’t math challenged, they’re just using a different standard. It is OBAMA MATH. I kept hearing yesterday that Kentucky and Oregon were the same size states. Imagine my surprise to learn that there were only 441,489 Democratic voters in Oregon while Kentucky had 668,916. With traditional math, a bitter white person clinging to guns and god would conclude that Kentucky was actually bigger than Oregon. But not if you use OBAMA MATH.

Here is how it works. Counting both Oregon and Kentucky Obama won 465,980 votes yesterday. Hillary, by contrast, won 459,145 in Kentucky alone. When you total all of the votes for Hillary, she won 58% of the votes while Obama snared 42% of the ballots.

13. Yes but where are your going with this, where it Hillary going?
Don't get me wrong, she is a strong candidate. She has won many states and votes, but has lost the nomination. It is over. The disingenuous denial of the facts, the vitriolic negative campaigning with no prospect of victory, the bogus talking points...it is ridiculous. Does Hillary really think she deserves the nomination at this point? If yes, she is delusional, if no, what is she doing??

It is not about whether she is officially in the race, it is how she is behaving in the face of a sure loss.

14. of those "democratic" voter in KY, one fourth of them won't vote D in the GE
however, popular vote is not how the primary is decided. Hillary knows this.

HILLARY KNOWS the popular vote argument is BULLSHIT. Yet she continues to try to spin it.

She's hurting the democratic party by spreading these lies about what qualifies a nominee, just as Bill spread lies in KY by saying Obama supporters "all have jobs. they don't care about you."

If this were ANY other candidate, he or she would have been dragged off the stage by now if he/she didn't have the common decency to go on his/her own. The ONLY reason she is getting away with the bullshit is because of the power of her husband as a former president.

Get it? The reason this continues is NOT because it has any merit. It continues because she is riding on her husband's coattails.

Wow, that's so feminist and inspiring.
